Dickey Leaves, Jimmy Herring Joins

June 16, 2000 - Gregg, Jaimoe and Butch ask Dickey to take the summer off, citing creative differences. The summer tour proceeds with Jimmy Herring subbing for Dickey. The band is composed of:

  • Gregg Allman, lead vocals and Hammond B3 organ
  • Butch Trucks, drums and percussion
  • Jaimoe, drums
  • Marc Quinones, percussion
  • Oteil Burbridge, bass
  • Derek Trucks, lead and slide guitar
  • Jimmy Herring, lead guitar

June 15, 2001 - The summer tour kicks off with Warren Haynes once again an official member of the Allman Brothers Band. The band is composed of:

  • Oteil Burbridge, bass
  • Derek Trucks, lead and slide guitar

This lineup will turn out to last the longest of any ABB lineup, all the way to the final show in October 2014
