His ready, set, go plan seems like people would already know this, but maybe not.
READY 5-7 days ahead - put a kit together or stuff you will take with you or that you need if you stay where you are.
SET 3-5 days ahead - if in the cone, plan, prepare property and get ready to leave.
GO 1-3 days ahead - evacuate if ordered to or if you are along the coastline, if inland shelter.
If you home is not secure enough to withstand the wind, rain that may come to you area. LEAVE. Look at the video of the woman in Abaco. There is nothing she can do.

You got a lot of people on this storm, lots of places to go for info. Utilize it. I saw reports that suggest when Dorian gets close to Florida it will be near Port Canaveral. You all know that is where they launch space shuttles from. You may also know that Trump wants to weaponize space, sending nukes up there to use at places down here if he thinks we are in a Space War. Well, God has to draw the line somewhere, I really don't think he wants us putting more stuff up there to launch on other nations. If Port Canaveral gets hit, I think we can assume God has spoken. Have a good night whippin' post.

Melissa Tomlin has a great idea, Norwegian, Carnival and Royal Carribean cruise lines who benefit from Bahamas tourism should help bring supplies and give back to the islands that have given to them. The Royal British Navy is coming but the devastation is surreal.
For locals in the Bahamas who need rescue they can text to:

Officials have set that up for them.
Update: Royal Carribean is sending 1M [million] dollars to help with relief efforts.
Carnival Cruise Line will also send relief money.

Good night Whippin' Post, and yes there was a tornado on Long Island today not near me though. Don't think it did much, we get these horrible what I call weather terror storms, torrential downpours, cloud to ground lightning, winds more than 50 mph. We don't have normal weather anymore.

Storm surge for Carolinas can be 7 feet. Hurricane force winds about 60 miles inland, tropical storm force winds 175 miles in. The wind-field is expanding due to the cold front. They say Long Island should be okay. So should Little Rhody. Connecticut had a tornado tonight. I have to start snoopin' on what's going on in the troposphere. There might be things going on that we don't know.

200,000 people are already without power. There is significant flooding in South Carolina, but what is worse is tht there are multiple tornadoes from within the storm that will be heading to North Carolina as it gets there. These are NOT water spout tornadoes, these are tornadoes from within the hurricane in the outer bands. At least 5 of them.
The eye is at least 50 or 60 miles wide and the windfield is 175 miles, will be more as it makes it's way up the coastline.
South and North Carolina you are looking at 6-12 inches of rain.
Sotheast Virginia 3-8 inches of rain, Norfolk and Virginia Beach can expect Hurricane Force wind GUSTS, your tropical storm winds are 39-72 mph, hurricane is above that. The storm is a Cat 2 105 mph winds with 125 gusts.
Northeast can expect 2-4 inches of rain.

Good news:
20,000 meals have been loaded onto an “explorer vessel” that is being sent from Florida here to the Bahamas at the request of @chefjoseandres & his @wckitchen team. Meals will be prepared on the boat as the food is being brought here.
They delivered 2,000 sandwiches today, and planned 10,000 more tomorrow. They are even going to make the food on the boat while it is on it's 8 hr. trek to the Bahamas.
"Reporting in after a long day on Abaco and visiting Green Turtle Cay, where all 550 people survived! We @WCKitchen brought hot meals and heard incredible stories....They need a few things, but otherwise are okay!! #ChefsForBahamas"
AND 6 hrs. ago they already started delivering meals to Columbia County, North Carolina.
These guys are organnized.

While the storm has passed the Carolinas and the east coast, there may be people trapped in the Outer Banks of NC that need help. Flooding in South Carolina happened in just two hours.

Sean Connery rode out Hurricane Dorian in his Bahamas home.
https://nypost.com/2019/09/06/sean-connery-says-he-was-lucky-to-survive-dorian-in-bahamas/
In an interview from his home there, he told the Scottish Daily Mail that he and his wife, artist Micheline Roquebrune Connery, were “both fine” and thanked people “for their concern.”
“We were lucky compared to many others,” said Connery, whose home is in the gated community of Lyford Cay on New Providence Island, which is about 95 miles from Great Abaco, which saw the greatest destruction. “The damage here was not great.”
He continued, “We had been prepared for the storm, everything was ready in advance — we weren’t taking any chances and knew what to do. It comes with living here, I suppose.”

He is happily married but did he ever live the life like James Bond? Carly Simon reportedly said a few things.
https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/hurricane-dorian-sean-connery-bahamas-mansion.print
In her new memoir, “Boys in the Trees,” Simon claims that in 1965, when she was 20, she and her 22-year-old sister, Lucy, met Connery aboard the SS United States traveling from England to New York. The sisters became friends with the then-35-year-old actor, and after having drinks with him one night, met him in his cabin.
There, he proposed having the ménage-à-trois — or as one of Carly’s friends called it, a “Simon sisters sandwich,” the book says. They turned him down.
Lucy, however, spent the following night with Connery, who was married to actress Diane Cilento at the time, and didn’t come back until 5:15 a.m. the next day, Carly Simon writes.

Okay now you've had your morning Latte and entertainment, now it's time to get back to the seriousness of the situation in the Bahamas. The only people who will definitely survive are the ones getting on private charter boats. People are waiting in long lines to get on boats in Freeport to go to Nassau. Marco Rubio and a Florida delegation visited Abaco and says only the Department of Defense can get in the heavy logistical support needed to re-establish some sort of survival for these people. Rand Hospital has 10 beds that are filled, and the rest of the rooms are flooded out; even the hospital cannot provide normal services for injured people. You need some field hospitals, but the most basic thing is WATER. People have no food or water, in 3 days with no water, a person goes into kidney failure and dies. This cannot wait.
Can someone send in desalinization equipment to help provide water. Can someone send in construction equipment to move the debris, so that tents can be set up? Can you provide generators and gas to help power up food tents? Sleeping bags, tarps, cots, blankets, pillows basic things, toothpaste, toilet paper, dumpsters for refuse removal? FOOD: BOOST liquid nutrition 30 grams protein supplements can help. What about storage sheds that could be set up quickly like PODS to help store materials? Pre-fabricated structures that could be erected quickly?
Why can't the cruise lines show some concern and send some boats to shelter people? Can ferries be sent to help get people to safe lands?
You have 70,000 people who have no food, water or shelter. It really cannot wait, and I HATE to say this but guess what, the European weather model has another wave forming in TWO WEEKS around the 19th or 20th, the response to Dorian will take time to get things back to normal, unfortunately those people are under the gun for survival and if there is another hurricane in 2 1/2 weeks, they will probably die if it goes thru those islands again.

#HopeTown a community that easily handled Hurricane Irene in 2011 was no match for Cat 5 #HurricaneDorain - on the egress. They need supplies. Let the floatplanes land for starters.
Other remarks: There has been a lot of money put out to help the victims, there is also some belief that there is corruption with Bahamian officials so the money/food is not getting to the people. You really need boots on the ground for this sort of thing. One person said they were just collecting the bodies, we have seen them being loaded on pick up trucks, and it is believed the govt. may just be burning the bodies, like garbage.
Trump needs to authorize waiving the visa requirement for the victims so that some of them can be transported here. Those cruise ships should sail some boats in there use portable ramps so docks can be set up to help them get on board. Feed them, house them, relocate them for now. WHY CAN'T THIS HAPPEN? These people have nothing.

At least Royal Carribean is delivering some food.

FREEEPORT, BAHAMAS 9-7-19
Phillip Smith, the executive director of the Bahamas Feeding Network, fronted efforts to deliver 20,000 meals to those most in need in Freeport. The aid had been provided by the cruise line giant Royal Caribbean earlier in the day. At present, he said, no aid had been provided directly by the government of the Bahamas, although assistance was being given by its National Emergency Management Agency (Nema).
The Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line is evacuating some 1,400 hurricane survivors, ferrying them from Freeport to West Palm Beach, Florida.
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT, the islands are not livable and people have to be gotten off them.

The next storm that we will have to keep a look out for is # 3 from the wunderground article. This may become something around September 23. The European model [and this is quite far out at this time] thinks it would be an Atlantic based storm.
We can't get all crazy about this, but you need to be aware of it. And even though some weather modification takes place with cloud seeding etc., remember that it is God who has the final say so, so let's say some mad scientists want to try to direct it one way of the other of have it hit some place to save some where else, utlimately God either allows it or not. When he allows disaster it is because people will be drawn back to him, and it is also an opportunity for others to help those who are sufferring from the disaster. He may not cause it, but he allows or does not allow it. That is the point and that is why.

While Dorian is away from our shores, it is still hurricane season which for us is now September thru November since the sub Saharan dust layer doesn't significantly decline till around now.
Trump has been probed for his map with Alabama in the cone of uncertainty while the people live with the stench of rotting bodies in the Bahamas. Cholera has been reported there as well.
There is another wave coming off Africa around September 23, I hope everyone gets over sharpie-gate by then. The models change all the time, even in the same day. With the next tropical storm/depression/hurricane all I would say is everyone in the oval office or anyone with access to it, should just step away from the sharpie. Let the naval research folks do their estimates and the nhc issue the warnings to people. As the changes happen, the President could update his twitter page since a lot of people go there.

Every week there are more hurricanes and they keep going to Cat 3. Do they just want to get us used to the idea of them coming 2 or more a week, then start obliterating cities and coastlines?
When I can barely keep up with the long range forecasts it's bad. We have 3 on the map this week. 2 more next week and I think another one is rolling off Cape Verde.

Hurricane season is NOT over yet. There will be a little something in the Gulf by the end of the weekend and there are a couple more waves that will be coming along that are not on the main stream maps yet.
As to the snowcast, this is what they say is normal, but we do not get normal anymore.

So wind, rain and tropical type stuff the end of next week, Thurs, Fri, and then Oct. 20 or later, I don't want to say a Sandy is possible, but I ain't likin'' the look of the possibilities. [maybe God doesn't like all this impeachment stuff!]
