What reality does Elizabeth Warren live in?

So no, I don't follow candidates until after the DNC makes its nomination. However, Elizabeth Warren seems to think the point of the election is to eliminate candidates who have made PRIVATE settlements re sexual harrassment or other sexual conduct. As far as I know, Bloomberg or any of the other candidates aren't her clients. In fact, she's no longer practicing or teaching law. She's a senator. Yet, she's taken the time to create a contract between Bloomberg & all the women who wish to remain ANONYMOUS to negate the NDA clause in their agreements. Clearly, it's a stunt. I don't know what the purpose would be, but she presumably has her reasons.
Does she not realize that no one cares about who the prez or any other elected official has sex with (unless it's a child) or offends w/his jokes? No one has cared since Monika Lewinsky & that was just a soap opera. Doesn't she realize we have the P-Grabber in Chief in the WH? She brags about having taught contract law, yet she publicly & deliberately commits tortious interference w/a valid contract between 2 parties who have nothing to do w/her?
Is she going to make the same offer to draft a contract for Bernie?
Sometimes I wake up, get news, & think no one is driving the bus & we're on a long winding road.

She's out of line. She's no longer a contender for the progressive wing as Bernie pretty much owns that
so she's jumped from the progressive wing to trying to syphon off moderate votes, and this is her tactic. It's a pretty cheap stunt.

Thanks for the explanation. It seemed semi-unhinged for a law professor to do. NDA clauses benefit the woman by protecting her identity & amount paid as much as it benefits the man.
It also seems fairly regressive in that Trump removed the electability stigma for men's sexcapades that were settled privately. Bloomberg totally cops to having enjoyed life as a single billionaire in Manhattan w/some bumps along the way. Bernie apologized to/settled with his 2016 campaign staff & affected individuals. I don't know what happened w/allegations against Biden for inappropriate contact. The whole idea just seems puritanical, petty & extraneous given hard evidence that Russia has specific tactics at work to re-elect Trump in 2020.

Warren? Well, let's see...The Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule, The Dead, David Allan Coe's Band, The Dickey Betts Band...
OH! You meant Liz Warren.
😛

Hey, any one of them would work.

Liz Warren is pretty darn sharp, but I'm going with Liz Reed...much more melodic.

Well, we know that Republicans, including Evangelicals, no longer care about sexual escapades as long as they aren't gay, but I'm not sure that holds true with all Democrats, especially women. We are not too far removed from when Al Franken resigned during the whole #Metoo movement. Seems like Democrats hold their candidates up to a higher moral standard than Republicans, so maybe it does matter to some, especially in the primary. I doubt it would matter in the general election though when the other choice is Trump.

More importantly, who is advising the Bloomberg campaign? I see today he wants to make it a spectacle. He's confirmed he has 3 women ready to talk. This is unbelievable. The democrats are off the rails.

the desperation to find a "but you do it too" moment is bizarre to watch from grown men.
I'd rather here your political opinion on Bloomberg's recent decision

I'd rather you be able to spell hear.

Her point is that we don't want another creepy sexual predator occupying the White House.
I don't either.

"What reality does Elizabeth Warren live in?"
One where you claim to have Native American Heritage in the hopes it will help you get into the University of your choice.

Maybe just attend Trump University where the one essential qualification is (oops, WAS) “ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED IN FULL.”
Scammer. Thief. Took hard-working people’s money knowingly. :/

Post debate I heard many pundits proclaiming her strong showing and I think she did well in fundraising post debate. I saw most of her comments and desperate and with Nevada results coming in, the voters didn't think any better of her. 4th place. If she had done well, say like Biden did, you can try and rally around a good second place finish and some of the entrance poll data. But if it wasn't official after a dismal showing in New Hampshire, it is abundantly clear now, she along with a couple others might as well just face the facts. It's not happening unless Bernie has another heart attack or something between now and super Tuesday.

She just thanked Nevada for keeping her in the fight.

She was just asked on CNN "where do you see yourself winning". Her answer essentially says she doesn't think she can win but enjoys putting forth her agenda for change...or how I interpret that: she likes the limelight and hearing herself talk.

Scrawny, mousy little woman who has never looked very presidential to me.....

Personally, I have found Warren's stance on certain issues to be a bit wishy-washy. She totally lost me when she ambushed Bernie (in front of live CNN mic's) over whether he did or didn't say that a woman couldn't be elected. If he did say this, he was voicing an opinion. He did not say that he wouldn't support a female Democrat candidate.
I'm not Trump fan. I've pretty much surrendered to the idea that I'll vote for anybody or anything that ain't him. Having said that, there are several Democrats that I really do not want to vote for. Guess I'll bend over and take one for the team if it's one of these.

Boston Globe endorsed her today. Makes sense, she is from Massachusetts. While I want to be careful, we have only had 3 primaries/caucuses so far, but would appear to me they endorsed a sinking ship. Still a long way to go in this process...I just don't know where she can win. The New Hampshire result was pretty devastating and while I didn't think she would win Nevada, second or third should've been attainable and she failed even that. She is kind of stuck in this limbo where she is kinda just like Bernie and not moderate so who is going to vote for her instead of Bernie or the perceived moderates? She has kind of made attacking Bloomberg her thing now, guess that is all she is in it for now pretty much.

She is finishing 3rd or worse everywhere tonight, including her own state. Yet I think she actually urged her supporters tonight to "keep the momentum".

She dropped out and gave support to Biden. So it's going to be Biden, Sanders and Trump.

Wonder what would happen to a female candidate who said "grab em by the d!ck" ?
Hard to say, heh heh. Is she Democrat or Republican? I might not vote for her but I can't rule out asking her out to dinner.

Trying and failing to show the double standard -that women are held to a higher standard, and have to be better and compete harder than men. Ok, let's try this question another way. What if a female candidate openly cheated on her multiple husbands with male strippers? Dems and Repubs both would put the kabosh on that .
Only if she paid them $150K thru a dummy corp set up by her personal fixer/lawyer or used a catch&kill scheme by her friend who owned a tabloid; NDAs all around.

Isn't that a violation of campaign finance regulations or something like that? What ever happened or will happen to the religious right's preferred candidate on that issue?

That depends...who said it and what does she look like?

I might vote for her, I mean if there was a video or something, maybe.

The religious right doesn't care anymore. Didn't you get the memo that Adultry was dropped from the 10 Commandments when Trump was elected? It was replaced with something about homosexuality. You need to go buy one of those updated Bibles.

I think there's a sealed indictment waiting for DJT post-presidency. News reports at the time were that Cohen pled guilty to multiple charges of campaign financial violations, tax evasion, & financial fraud w/o listing them.
Cohen 1st argued that the payment to Stormy Daniels to make the candidate look better wasn't a campaign finance violation because candidates have no cap on their personal spending on campaigns, but his story changed multiple times re reimbursement by DJT or the Trump Organization so it was never made clear to the public who made the payment. The TO accountant who knew everything never appeared before Congress, but might've appeared before the SDNY. Pecker/National Enquirer is still cooperating w/the Manhattan DA's investigation re Karen McDougal's payment.
Now that the religious fanatics have their anti-abortionist majority on SCOTUS, I keep thinking they'll drop him but they actually seem to like him.
