Well they have those opium poppies made famous in the movie Midnight Express where Billy Hayes gets busted for trying to smuggle opium thru the Istanbul airport, now they want to cultivate cannabis. it is also quite interesting the largest exporter is China. Maybe that's why they don't get into wars, people just smoke in the fields.

Hemp grows wild all over China. Wild hemp is not smokable, you might as well smoke hay.
Industrial grade hemp doesn't get you high. At all. If you don't know that by now, there really isn't any point in discussing this subject of hemp with you .
