"Just admit you disagree with the protesters. It's pretty clear.

LOL.."Clear to who"?

Pretty much anyone that's read your posts over the last several years. Not that hard of a conclusion to draw.

Spot on, guy thinks identifying as a libertarian and dancing around a point throws people off the trail that he's just another angry republican.

that Civil rights act sure fixed that pesky slavery problem, Al Sharpton's call for reparations, the Democrat's constant referencing of the after effects of Slavery as the reason for everything that is wrong today, the creation and support of and the continued half assed attempts to erase the past by the removal of Confederate statues. And the best one, the total turning of a blind eye to the problems in Chicago where black on Black crime far supersedes any other injustice the media chooses to shove down our throats

Brother BIGV, you seem to have life figured out pretty well, so why do you seem so distressed?

Lol...Why do you pretend to care?.....I will ask you this though....Looting, rioting and holding up a sign while standing on a street corner, fixes what?

...his campaign has decided that no social distancing is required. He wants this to be a spectacle, packed with as much noisy adoration as possible...

All rally attendees must sign a liability waiver holding the campaign legally blameless in the event that people subsequently fall sick. Or drop dead.

From a public health standpoint, resuming large, crowded, indoor rallies is madness. But the president is not content simply to endanger the lives of his supporters. He is demanding they sign away their rights for the privilege.

Psychopath Trump has zero empathy and zero conscience. Phucking weird.

What "anger" have I displayed here?...Not your perceived view, easily identified indignation. Or is this just more Liberal hyperbole used as a means to attempt to explain how anyone could possibly have an opinion that differs from yours?

The 2nd paragraph of the editorial is that the arena has no other events in June/July! No one else is crazy or callous or egotistical enough to pack it w/adoring fans.

Makes me wonder why if what he wants is a photo-op, why he just doesn't have cgi to pack the arena. Crowd scenes in movies haven't used extras in a decade & now we have them semi-replacing actors (like DeNiro/Pacino in The Irishman). A wall of red-hatted cgis w/Trump signs would work for TV. Maybe he really needs the actual crowds screaming for him like he's a rock star to rev himself up.

Brother BIGV, the pathetic leftists have differing opinions from us, and that's fine with us, right?

I do not and have never used the phrase "pathetic" to describe the voter and his beliefs. I have referred to and will to continue use that term in describing the "leadership" of the party.

Brother BIGV, it's ok to say it, the leftists' opinions bother us, and we have our reasons!

Please, speak only for yourself

Tulsa's public health director pleaded with the President to postpone the event.
https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/16/politics/tulsa-rally-trump-pence/index.html

Nope. Instead, campaign officials are scurrying to find overflow locations that could be outdoors. The arena for the acceptance speech holds 20,000. Campaign officials claim to have 1,000,000 registrants. Math again.

For those 20,000 lucky enough to get a seat inside, they'll sign the waiver re not holding the campaign responsible should they get sick. Campaign officials claim they will be taking the temperature of all attendees, offering hand sanitizer, & offering masks that will not be required to be worn. There will be NO attempt at social distancing.

Never heard of a president knowing his supporters might be killed off by attending his rally. Seems like less voters.

Trump is playing way too many folks at this stage in the game.

I agree with your statement, and they continue to support and will vote for him. And the GOP in Congress have sold out to him. Same thing with his "leadership pals" - Pompeo, Barr, and Mnuchin.

Oklahoma sets daily new coronavirus case record number on June 17, 2020 - three days before the clowns hit town. (Cue calliope circus music...)

Here is the warning from Kim Jong Trump in advance of the Covid Rally.

"The day before his scheduled rally in Tulsa, Okla., President Trump warned “any protesters” that they can expect rough treatment at the hands of law enforcement, in a tweet that lumped demonstrators in with criminals."

“Any protesters, anarchists, agitators, looters or lowlifes who are going to Oklahoma please understand, you will not be treated like you have been in New York, Seattle, or Minneapolis,” wrote Trump on Twitter Friday morning. “It will be a much different scene!”

President Trump threatens ‘any protesters’ at his rally: Tulsa is a ‘different scene’ than liberal cities

I love all of this genuine concern about the spread of the corona virus. But when people were out in the streets by the thousands protesting?

A statement like this shows how hopelessly out-of-touch you are with WHY people are protesting. 🙁

And MANY of them wore face coverings, if they could not social distance, per CDC guidelines.

More than I can say for this pathetic admininstration. Masks are weak, blah, blah, blah...

False. No matter how many times you say it wasn't discussed, doesn't make it so. It actually was discussed, and was a fairly obvious point to most people considering we had been living with the virus for months. That people would gather together after months of staying home gives you an idea of how heinous and unjust the murders were.

The situations are similar in that they involve people gathering. However, they are different because one involved people protesting racist murder cops, and the other is organized by Trump himself because he wants to stroke his ego. Just because things are similar, doesn't make them the same.

Further - Trumpco is going against the recommendations / guidelines of his own task force and the CDC as well as various health leaders in Tulsa. The cherry on the top of Covid Pie is that the rally is inside, and it's been reported that the doors will open 4 hours in advance of Honest Don giving a speech. So they'll be inside for approx 5 and a half or 6 hours packed in like sardines & screaming and yelling. Will be interesting to see how many use common sense & wear masks or defy science and listen to Trump who is anti science / anti mask & has made masks a culture clash issue. Long after he leaves town and the crowds disperse to their states, we'll see how much or if the crowds travel & spread the virus. It's not like he really gives a $hit about these people or their health other than as a photo op & to fill an arena for his inflated ego.

From the NY times:

"The president has suggested that wearing a mask is an anti-Trump political statement. Do his supporters try to prove their allegiance by risking their health?"

Not from me. I expressed concern about Covid-19 with the protests. I think some of the surge we are seeing now is because of the protests. To add to that, most of the protests we saw had most protesters wearing masks and all of them are outside.

Jump forward to today. I'm seeing pictures of massive crowds shoulder to shoulder waiting to go inside and yell all without masks. Apparently white conservatives feel like they are immune to the virus. If it was just them, I would laugh and say they got what they deserved. Unfortunately, they will spread it to everyone they come in contact with - grocery workers, restaurant waiters, hair stylists, coworkers, healthcare workers, and everyone else. So yeah, I have friends in Tulsa and I am concerned for them.

shame that adults have to be reminded of this.

"Adults"?..Like the ones who are booted from this site, return with an alias, are outed, delete their posts only to return a few days later with yet another new moniker?

Tell us how that works Boynton Brother!

After the spike in cases after Florida's re-opening, there've been some pull-backs. One is that Jacksonville - the city chosen by the RNC for Trump's no capacity arena nomination acceptance TV appearance - now requires masks to be worn at all times when social distancing isn't possible. Don't think the arena is going to be able to meet 6' social distancing regulations, so that means masks just 7 weeks from now if Florida's numbers don't change. NOT the optic Trump was looking for.

And no one mentions the waiver that the RNC re-election committee et al won't be sued if people test positive after a Trump event. Did that just disappear? Did people sign waivers at Mt. Rushmore & the WH?
