From this morning's San Jose Mercury News:

"The report, prepared by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, says Woods, 41, had THC, the active ingredient for marijuana; as well as the painkillers Vicodin and Dilaudid; the anxiety and sleep drug Xanax; and the anti-insomnia drug Ambien in his system when he was arrested at 2 a.m. May 29 about 15 miles from his home in Jupiter, Florida.

Woods issued a statement Tuesday saying he had been trying on his own to treat his insomnia and pain from his fourth back surgery, which he underwent in April."

Tiger, Tiger, Tiger!! Stick to the THC, Man!! That's a lethal cocktail!!

No Joke!

And I would NEVER touch Ambien. It reportedly causes memory loss and I've had people who used it verify that. Marijuana IMO is the best sleep med around, virtually no side effects.

If somebody needs Vicodin and Dilaudid, they ought to just give them a Fentanyl patch which puts the medication directly in the area bothering them. Or if he is in that much pain, why not just give him morphine and kill the pain, then wean him off that later with the Vicodin. He needs to see a pain management specialist, Orthopedists are not pain management specialists.

Vicodin even by itself can give you respiratory depression in larger doses, where you just cannot breathe normally. You can take up to 4,000 mgs. per day if needed for pain, but seriously after 2500 mgs. your breathing becomes labored, they should just give you what you need that is appropriate for the pain level.
