Ponder this for a minute.......Trump has convinced a large segment of conservative voters to trash Mueller, a Republican decorated war hero from the Marines, and make him the enemy of the USA. For anyone to accept this (conservative judges is the new justified reason, now that the economy and stock market doesn’t hold water), is not going to have legs to stand on when they want credibility after he’s gone. I can’t imagine why Republicans in Washington take such risk by supporting this guy.

Because they think he represents them. He hates the same people they do. He pisses off the left, and the right love that. He may be rich, but he acts like trailer trash, so somehow they think he lives the life they always wanted to live.

And I believe the fear factor is very real, by nature it seems the right wingers I know and here in Indiana they are a majority, are absolutely terrified of everything, many to that point of non-sensical paranoia. Afraid of anything or anyone that's not white bread or white skinned, terrified someone will earn a dollar more then they, terrified somehow if they help someone with medical care, food or shelter that somehow it means less for them. Tough to describe it, but it's very real, Trump, being the seasoned and experienced con man, plays expertly on these fears and imagined terrors and he convinces them that he is the ONLY one who can protect them...........Peace...........joe

The risk for those Republicans in Washington really is huge. The tipping point just hasn't happened yet. I am curious when the party and those worried about it's future turns their eyes to the 2020 election and their hopes of keeping the White House. Surely those at the top of the party can see what is coming and when do they start to consider trying to win the Presidency with another candidate?

Not sure of this. The GOP has done a wonderful job of being Trump enablers 2 years running. It is his party, his base, and his lackeys. At some point the GOP as we used to know it will have to be rebuilt long after Trump has poisioned what was a group of individuals that had some semblance of a political party.

Dug in too deep. They will double down on Trump whether they like him or not. I am betting Trump gets re-elected. That will give them enough time to deal the coup de grâce on democracy. I guarantee you every Trump fanatic would be fine with the Trump Dynasty ruling America for the next few hundred years.

Good Lord!

The seven-count indictment suggests Stone misled lawmakers on the committee about his efforts to communicate with Wikileaks and his contacts with the Trump campaign. It also alleges he attempted to intimidate another witness: radio host Randy Credico, who was in contact with Wikileaks head Julian Assange in 2016.

Special counsel Robert Mueller's office said Stone was arrested Friday morning and will make an appearance at 11 a.m. at the federal courthouse in Fort Lauderdale. A Washington D.C. grand jury approved the indictment Thursday.

Stone, a GOP operative and prominent Trump cheerleader whose relationship with the president spans nearly 40 years, was accused of making false statements and tampering with a witness.

The Stone indictment marks Mueller’s biggest move yet against a Trump associate on grounds that the person allegedly worked with Russian operatives to sabotage Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2016.

We're living The Godfather movies.

In the indictment against Stone, the charge of attempting to stop his contact from contradicting Stone's false testimony to the House Intelligence Committee is supported by Stone 1) directing him to "Do a Frank Pentangeli" - a fictional character in the Godfather II movie who lies to a fictional Congressional Intelligence Committee, 2) calls him a rat and a stoolie (just as Trump calls Cohen a rat), and 3) threatens to take his dog away from him (as in the horse being decapitated in Godfather I).

IMO #2 is the most egregious. The dog? Really?

Sara Sanders was just on CNN, and was directly asked "Was it the President who was the senior white house official who directed this coordination", and her response was "I haven't read the documents, and even if I did, I'm not a lawyer so I wouldn't know how to interpret it."

Shouldn't that be a really really really simple, automatic, easy answer of "No, of course not."?????????????????????????

Getting closer to Don Jr. & Jared?

Per Trump: Drain the swamp & replace with nothing but the best. Most definitely. Proof positive.

Surreal press conference just now by Stone. An expected denial and vow to fight the charges, and declared his unconditional loyalty to Trump. And in case we didn't get the message, he did the Nixon salute as he left. I respect the balls on this guy, I truly do. I imagine he has an arrangment to stay quiet, do the time, and then get a duffle bag of cash every month from Trump.

It's nice just knowing the traitor will at least have to spend some of his ill gotten booty on an expensive legal team before Trump pardons him. And maybe, just maybe, he'll spend a little time in a jailhouse before the pardon is announced....Just enough time to be introduced to a good ass whipping or rape by a few of his fellow inmates...But then again, Roger is a known swinger and may possibly be bisexual too so he may actually relish being sodomized. 😛

The man has Nixon's portrait tattooed on his back & calls himself a dirty trickster. Some of these guys just seem to be having too much fun.

Wonder if there's witness protection for Randy Credico's dog.

It does seem that many of Trump's inner circle are right out of central casting...Brilliant reality tv... If only the country wasn't at stake...

Fortunately the events of the past few days are showing us that the republic is fighting back...It's holding...For now anyway....Mostly because the people are making their voices known. Amen for the that....

Well, this is going to be a new reality from now own with no Russia story. How could so many people get it wrong?
So much hatred for this one man. I will pass on a victory-lap here but lets hope this is a turning point into the official record for the Trump Presidency.

Looking back, I think Speaker Pelosi must have been made aware of where things were headed.

We're still hearing about Benghazi and Hillary's emails after all thsee years. So, for those who think this Trump story is going to disappear overnight...well, good luck with that.

True. Further, it is false equivalency of equating Trump's racist and false accusation of Obama not being born in America with a legitimate investigation by our intelligence agencies of Trump's dealings with Russian interference in an election.

There are no victories for anyone in this story. How many Americans in Trump’s circle are now in prison? Talk about a black eye on the United States. Someone who handpicks a team that all end up in prison, is far from a winner.

Had he not said “Russia if you’re listening”, and had Don Jr. not get played by Russian spies, and had Trump not attacked and betrayed American intelligence in support of Putin, then those people would be with their families right now. At the end of the day, Trump tried to hire a team of compromised thugs to run our country, and do his dirty work. Mueller forced him to work on a fair playing field. Mueller took out the trash and now everything is reset. May the best man win from this point on.
