I can promise you that all of these folks have been photographed in EXTREME high definition from posts all over D.C. I'd be willing to bet that many get arrested and prosecuted - even if it takes several days or weeks. Those who do have jobs will likely be fired from them. 😉
I'm not 100% sure, but I'm 90% sure that is Jon Schaffer of the metal band Iced Earth. Looks like him, and from what you can see of his tattoo, it looks like his. I've seen pictures of him with that hat. Very disappointed if it's him.

These images have incredible clarity and definition! You can "zoom" into individual faces deep within mass crowds. I'm sure it's some sort of "CIA technology" ... oh, no I've said too much! But seriously, I'm sure everybody at this event was documented.

Let's get back to that LANDSLIDE victory for a moment. In what alternate universe did this even almost happen in? Votes were counted, re-counted, re-re-re-re counted etc. etc etc - in most cases by REPUBLICANS. How does this delusional lunatic dare say that he won by any margin - much less a landslide? Even Mitch McConnell concedes this.
Also remember that Trump said that the election of 2016 was rigged. Do you remember that? You know, the election where he lost the popular vote by 2 million? By his current standards both Gore and Hillary should have been declared President.
Worse - his delusion is quickly lapped up by his army of equally depraved minions who will roll over in $hit at his demand without asking any questions.
In my opinion, the 25th should be invoked immediately! At the very least, Trump deserves to be tarred and feathered - which I understand to be quite painful.
Some folks like to point out that Charles Manson never actually murdered anybody personally. He did incite, goad and urge some pretty sick individuals who carried out his evil. For that, he was removed from society for the remainder of his days. There are four people dead as a result of yesterdays insanity. Can you honestly tell me that these deaths shouldn't be charged to Trump's account?
@wis608 Media didn't condone any of the destructive rioting over the Summer. There was sympathy for innocent people who were murdered by use of excessive force. Such incidents continued to occur despite peaceful protest by athletes. Such protests were condemned by Trump, who by contrast, praised those he encouraged to storm our nation's Capitol based on his own lies and hesitated to call the National Guard. The disparity and hypocrisy in response is pretty obvious unless you refuse to look.
Trump called in the National Guard when a CVS was breached yet did nothing when the seat of our nation was under attack.

The most horrendous thing about yesterday's sedition wasn't that it was incited by a sitting president who refused to use the National Guard, it's the response of the Senators & HRs who were under attack by a mob that breached feeble security to roam & loot the offices and chambers of Congress while they were conducting their constitutionally mandated business. Every single one of them knew it was incited by Trump's delusion yet their oath to do their job, uphold the constitution, and execute their responsibilities remains secondary to whatever ties them to Trump. More than 100 of them still raised objections after it was clear that their responsibility was limited & a formality. No one thinks 2/3 of both houses would vote to keep Trump out of office should Pence invoke the 25th amendment. This is a time when one would expect the entire Congress would stand together and say "We're not letting any other branch of government prevent us from doing our job." What does it take?

I'm not sure if it was a moment of clarity at how destructive that path is, or if it politically advantageous in the moment to not be aligned with domestic terrorists. It never should have gone that far.
If there is anything the past 4 years have reminded us of is that the US government was designed to be larger than a single person. Washington didn't even want to be President. Yet, the MAGA crowd worships Trump like a capitalist folk hero, buying his merchandise like he's a sports franchise. They mention the Constitution without understanding that the passage of power is by design. If you don't agree with the President, you only have 4 years. Some of these people will be waiting that out in a Federal prison.
Someone here often said "Democrats have learned nothing". Well, many Republicans hitched their wagon to a man who did not care about their politics. They chose a man over their party and their country, which is counter to its foundation. It was never going to last. He didn't even want to call in the National Guard to protect them. McConnell and Pence seem to have finally acknowledged that it's over (I think McConnell knew all along and was just waiting for it to pass, though his wife resigned her Cabinet position today so she doesn't have to be a part of 25th Amendment discussions). Some still have their heals dug in and insist on dying on that hill.

Beyond the scope of Congress. Beyond the scope of the Executive Branch. Trump tried to mingle the two & Congressmen were either disloyal to their oath of office or unfamiliar w/their job responsibilities in futilely attempting to overturn the people's votes.
BTW, Trump is a franchise - planes, casinos, charities, golf courses, TV shows, hotels, men's clothing & more. He's never said otherwise. Being POTUS was just adding a little spice to his brand.

What's perhaps most scary is that for several years now authorities within and out of the armed forces have identified a growing number of White Supremacists within their ranks. It's a trend brought to light by a number of federal agencies and the Pentagon itself as there has been an increased effort to track and interdict domestic terrorist activities.
