That's one way to read it I guess. I think Iran sucks. I just figured throw em a little recognition for an unusual and creditworthy response. Apparently some folks feel that finding merit in an adversary is a blanket statement of support. And that saying so is a condemnation of our side. A cozy black and white reality.

Nope, Health Care is a "Priority" in the debates and that is where it stops.
For Republican administrations yes.....Unless you consider that they basically attack Medicare and Medicaid the minute they occupy the White House and/or take over leadership positions in Congress. They sure as hell haven't offered any true reform and improvement to our healthcare system only slash and burn.
Whereas whether right or wrong the past two Democratic administrations attempted actual meaningful reform. Clinton with his failed attempt and Obama with the ACA legislation.
I think the term "Reform" is a code-word for getting away with taking minimal action.....Most things that are tagged with that phrase need a total dismantling and rebuild from the ground up....For example: "Education reform"....we need to take a serious look at what is offered in schools, what is no longer useful and what should take its place. With everyone on the Continent armed with an i-phone, how important is Algebra?..Maybe 2nd and 3rd languages should replace that. Civics should return...and so on....

This. With rare exceptions, there's credibility to be gained for recognizing that someone to whom we're generally opposed can do something appropriate or even good when it's out of character. It costs us nothing to be objective & it elevates the conversation. It's the non-stop blind rage or blind devotion to a person or a cause that creates & fuels hate.

Which is one of the main things we find freakish and detestable in Iran's fanatic government - yet we are seeing the same behavior more and more right here. Extreme hardline religious conservatism, lockstep mob support of figureheads. We are becoming that which we fear most.

Suddenly, Russia is in our ELECTIONS all the time. Using the same method as they did in 2016 to hack for email against Trump's political rival, Russia started hacking Burisma for info on the 2020 rival Biden in November (when impeachment talk was heating up.) So, did Putin step in because the Ukrainians refused? or because his "asset" looked weak? How much more obvious can it be that Russia is meddling in US elections whenever Trump is the presumptive nominee?
Just another instance of treason by our President, and the right doesn’t care one bit.
