The EPA Redacted Its Discussions About Trump's Toilet Obsession
Low flush, low water consumption toilets used to be pretty bad. The good ones now work well. We have some newer 1.28 gallon models. Never had to double flush, never had a clog. We have the only American Standard model they made in USA, one of the Cadet models. And I also bought one of the Toto units made in Georgia I believe. I wanted to do a comparison. Both work very good. I like the Toto a little better how the water washes the bowl, although occasionally the bowl doesn't get 100% cleaned with the flush. Toto has plants in several countries that service the units sold in the US. When I ordered, I specifically stated to have a matching bowl and tank that were USA made. We got a bowl that was USA made and a tank that, I think was South America if I remember. Sent tank back to get a USA tank.
Trump should be more concerned about imported toilets than how much water they use.
Ill never give up my PowerFlush toilets although they are loud. work installed some auto-flushers on low flow bowls that were awful. Remnants galore. Took several flushes to remove any traces before getting down to pinching a loaf.
This reminds me of the "King Of The Hill" episode where the city council of Arlen decided to put in low flush toilets in all city buildings and then made it mandatory that all homes install the same toilets (not to mention the company was owned by a council member).
Hank got on the council and held a filibuster about the toilets until some of the council members had to 'take 5".
With the toilets for the council chamber just the other side of the wall, Hank verbally counted how many times the female members had to flush.
With minimum numbers at about 5 times per visit, he made his point that the "low flush" toilets used more water than regular toilets, and the ordinance was revoked.
