Thank God for a cop with a gun

Ok, I read it. I don't see how it's relevant to the University's policy, or wanting Americans to prove their responsibility and sanity first before buying. Nobody is required to set foot on that campus.
There's more guns now than there have ever been, and no one is taking them away, ever.

Since they decided to deny their students one of the basic civil rights sited in the Constitution, then they should loose all federal funding. Students who wish to carry (legally) should sue for grievance of their rights.
Maybe after a while, they university will decide to either allow those who legally can carry firearms to do so, or shut down.

" Loose" all federal funding? "Sited" in the constitution"? What?

Only 23 states leave this decision up to the University, and Ohio State (a state university) is not one of these states. The Ohio legislature can put the issue to a vote and pass it along to Governor Kasich, just as 15 other states who passed campus conceal & carry on to the Governor did. Only the state of Texas was successful, and "UT's Chancellor, William McRaven, a retired Four-Star Admiral and former Navy SEAL, in comments made before the law took effect or recommendations for its implementation were provided, concealed weapons likely make our public university campuses less safe and have the potential to imperil free speech in the classroom."
For 200 years the 2nd Amendment was interpreted as the right to own firearms, not the individual right to have them on ones person at all times. The state of Ohio recognizes the 2nd Amendment (obviously), but the state can decide whether or not it is too great a security risk in places like the state capitol or schools. The majority of Federal funds towards universities goes directly to the student in the form of student loans, so revocation would only directly affect students who can't afford college.
There are plenty of rights that the Constitution protects, yet states can limit for safety concerns or if it infringes upon other protections (i.e., hate speech, yelling "fire" or the like in certain places, harmful religious practices, etc.). When Thomas Jefferson founded The University of Virginia, they declared "in 1824: “No student shall, within the precincts of the University, keep or use any spiritous or vinous liquors, keep or use weapons or arms of any kind…” Obviously liquors on campus has had some wiggle room since then.
Even Anton Scalia stated in 2008, "…nothing in our opinion should be taken to cast doubt on…laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings…”

I need to get a new keyboard. This one sometimes doesn't spell right.
