In an interview with Mike Wallace from FOX news Trump said within two weeks they would roll out their replacement plan for Obamacare, tomorrow Friday, Mnuchin will report on the second stimulus for Americans. So far it should be another $1200 like last time. Congress recesses in August so whatever does not get done before then will have to wait.

The funds for states were not included in the stimulus nor the payroll tax cuts the President wanted but Mike Wallace showed Trump polls saying that Biden was ahead of him and then hammered away on the question of are you going to reject the stimulus bill if the payroll tax cuts are not included in it? Trump said he wanted the cuts in it but he would think about it.

I think it is amazing Washington can move when it is an election year, and the rest of the time it gets caught up in debates.

The proposal for Obamacare replacement should be interesting.

Well stuff is getting done but not all of it will be to the masses liking.

Republican GOP quibbling about the $600 a week lifeline unemployment supplement and downsizing that is an example. The state unemployment computers run on Cobol programming it will take 8 to 20 weeks to write code to update them to figure out 70% of someone's wages and then calculate a supplement, so they say they will throw you a bone of $200 week for two months to help out.

There is something else called The Trust incorporated in the bailout bill to start working on Social Security, SSDI and Medicare Part A. Go to the hill and check that out. Who knew Medicare Part A will be bankrupt by 2024? The same people like Mitch McConnell will be working on solutions to these problems.

The bill is called The Time to Rescue United States Trusts Act.

The Secretary of the Treasury will submit a report to Congress between January 4 and January 11, 2021 identifying each federal program that a trust fund was set up for and the outlays for the prior year, 2020. He will also submit when the funds will be inadequate up to 2035.

No later than June 1, 2021 the Rescue Committee shall meet to consider and vote on any proposals to address the deficits.

The Rescue Committee will have 12 members appointed by the Congressional Leaders.

Senate Majority Leader picks 3.
Senate Minority Leader picks 3.
Speaker of the House picks 3.
House Minority Leader picks 3.

1 co chair selected by each party [Democrat and Republican].

Count me among those who think $600 a week on top of your states compensation is too much.

Depends where you live because unemployment is only a percentage of your income. Prices in expensive states like NY metro, Connecticut, Massachusetts, California. The top unemployment amount in NYS is $425 week. Anyone with a mortgage cannot pay it on that, much less buy food, pay their car, insurance, electric, cable. Even rentals are ridiculously priced.

In some states where costs are lower people may have made out better on the extra. California said they are thinking of supplementing that lowered $200 amount by giving people the extra 400. It is a problem.

I think Mitch [Majority Leader] and Treasury Secretary Mnuchin holding up the Stimulus money has derailed it and put it on the back burner. If they do not come up with some money for people for unemployment and stimulus, the election will go to Biden. People are poor and fed up. Trump needs to do an Executive Order for a stimulus check while the others are on vacation till Sept.

Well, he is trying to get stuff done amidst the Congressional back and forth impasse. He signed an Executive Order on Friday to extend the pandemic unemployment till the end of the year but lowered the amount from 600 a week to 400. He signed to extend the payroll tax, continue the moratorium on evictions from federally subsidized rentals, and extended student loan forbearance now that wasn't hard was it?

Why can't Congress get anything done?

Today someone breached the White House grounds during his press conference about the economy. The person was armed and was shot by Secret Service agents and is in the hospital. After the threat was removed, Trump continued his conference. That's a leader. I do think there should be shades on those windows so anyone else cannot look thru and see where people are positioned. Security first.

An E6B plane has been spotted flying off the East Coast to protect the US from any foreign hostilities.
