i mean what, 10 senate seats seats were up for election? i'm too tired to look it up. and GOP won 7? there are 100 seats in the senate and this is supposed to represent the entire mindset of the country? i don't get it. as i have said before.....i'm kinda slow.
i also keep forgetting that FOX news, with maybe 2 million viewers, represents the mindset of say 1/2 of the country (150 million) because of ratings. i am just slow.
What will be the reaction to the action? I fear that Obama will now run wild with Executive Orders while Reid still holds the reigns in the Senate until January.

For the second time in two months, a law firm has dumped Speaker of the House John Boehner and refused to represent House Republicans in their lawsuit against President Obama.
Politico reported,
Attorney Bill Burck and the Quinn Emanuel firm halted preparations for the proposed suit in recent weeks, according to two sources familiar with the situation. Last month, the lawyer originally hired to pursue the case, David Rivkin of Baker Hostetler, made a similar abrupt exit.
A spokesman for Boehner declined to discuss the status of the House’s relationship with Burck and Quinn Emanuel. However, spokesman Kevin Smith said Wednesday evening that House leaders are considering having the lawsuit filed by lawyers already on the House payroll.
In other words, Boehner can’t find an outside attorney, so they are going to force the attorneys that are already on the House payroll to file the lawsuit.
Democratic Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) responded the news that another Boehner lawyer has quit, “Speaker Boehner cannot find a single lawyer in the entire country – even at $500 dollars an hour in taxpayer money – to file a lawsuit that is so totally devoid of any legal merit.”
The lawsuit is so bogus that House Republicans can’t find decent legal representation for $500 an hour. There are lots of terrible lawyers who would be willing to file the lawsuit for that kind of money, but no law firm who values their reputation will touch it.
Any private law firm that would represent the House Republicans would be destroying their credibility. The lawsuit against the president has absolutely no legal merit, and Republicans may not be able to find a court that is willing to hear it. Even if House Republicans can find a court willing to hear it, the lawsuit is expected to be laughed out of court.
Instead of wasting taxpayer money on an outside firm, House Republicans will waste the time of those who are being paid by the taxpayers by forcing them to work on their lawsuit against President Obama.
The reason Boehner’s lawsuit hasn’t been filed is that he can’t find a law firm that is willing to take the case. Much like everything else that the House Republicans touch, Boehner’s lawsuit against Obama was full of talk, but completely lacking in action.

The GOP is romping at the state level winning legislatures and governorships even in "blue" states. If Legislatures still elected Senators there would be 86 Republican Senators in January. Denial ain't a river in Egypt. Nothing lasts forever and nobody is saying the voters love Republicans but anyone denying this was a huge slap in the face to Obama and his brand of ideology is really not thinking clearly.
As to what will happen with the Republicans in charge, they will ask to see where the money will come from to keep funding the programs the govt. is funding. You saw this during the last financial crisis where Representatives were told to either vote for expanding the debt limit or see martial law implemented on US streets. Well they kicked the can down the road a little further, but the same problems still exists.
To solve it means a complete restructuring of the federal budget and it's spending. Even if you had no Democrats in the Senate of House, it would be a most auspicious undertaking. The fundamental problem is the States themselves need to take care of their own people, fund their own programs instead of asking the federal govt. to take care of it. Nobody wants to face this reality.
Why?
Why on elections day was the majority, and therefore control of, The Senate take away from the democrats and givren to The Republicans?
Why were even more democrats kicked out of The House and their seats given to The Republicans?
Why were the Governorships of so many blues states taken away from democrats and given to The Republicans?
Why are both houses of Congress now controlled by The Republicans, 30 of the state Governors and the majority of state Legislatures Republican?
Why?
