All players stood during the National Anthem last night in Philly.
Respect shown.

I’m sure that the republicans and russians are glad to see these sheep get in line.

Do you stand for the Anthem?

Mule says sitting during the anthem is OK.

I didn't ask Mule, I would like to know if anyone here does not stand during the Anthem...

Any sense of patriotism, respect and tradition is lost on you.

If you hate our country so much why are you still here?

It takes courage to state that.
This will be interesting to watch for responses.

How exactly is this “hating our country” as you say?
To answer the 2nd part, I was born here, I own a home here, and most importantly, I love the freedom. That same freedom to not stand up because a politician says to.

I stand for the anthem. It is my choice. At the same time I don't judge those who don't stand. It is their choice, right, and freedom. For those who drape themselves in the flag, in the anthem, and look down upon those who don't, it doesn't make you any greater a patriotic person than those who do and those who don't. There is no ownership of right or wrong here; only quixotic self absorption.

Love living here. The only thing that really sucks is this recent flare up of confrontational in your face nationalism. It doesn't feel like the America I grew up in.

Not that it is any of your business, but yes I do stand for the anthem, proudly and of my own volition.

I would never presume to ask the question, "Do you stand for the anthem?"

When my president starts attacking people for their symbolic protests, he is out of line and deserves to be fired. No govt entity has the right to bully like that.

Now that it seems to be a govt order I wouldn’t.

It is not a "gov't order" and never has been.
That line above is a dodge and a lie.

What is truly troubling is that so many of the far-left extremist can't (or wont) say why the clear majority of Americans do stand.

It is an interesting question: "Do you stand for the anthem?"

A simple yes or no doesn't tell us anything at all. In a free country of such diversity people stand for different reasons. One person's reason for standing could be the next person's reason for not standing.

You quoted me yet still missed it. I wrote “seems to be” and never stated it as an official order. The thing is, if this were a dem in office you would be on the opposite side of the issue. You and fox would be draped in the flag yelling “treason” much like the “never be critical of a president during war” argument that when on until the election in 08.

Please, what has this gentleman sacrificed?

So I guess the gist of all this is the CK has brought injustice to your attention by taking a knee during a sporting event, Good for him. "How does this change your life"?..What do you now do differently? How much of your income have you dutifully given to "Black Lives matter"?...My guess is zero.

Shame on you Nike.

Nike "glorifying" this man is no different than Caitlyn Jenner being "honored for her "Courage"...and yet people say the media has no agenda.

Me?..I was reared to respect everyone, My father was a Lt. Colonel in the USAF and treated everyone he met with respect, those beliefs and behaviors were passed on to me because of the examples he set. What do I do?... The best I can everyday, treat people with respect and you know what, that's what you get in return.

BWAH HAHAHAHAHA!!!! Thanks BIGV, I needed a good belly laugh today.

“I respect everyone, except (insert one of a thousand people here).” Newsflash to you - if you did inherit respect from your father, you don’t show it to Kaepernick and many others. But I guess it’s ok to bash since someone else did it first. Neener neener.

Me? There are plenty of people I refuse to respect, because they simply don’t deserve it.

I do not stand during the anthem when at home. At a game, I stand only because it’s important to others. If a snowflake gets offended by that, I’ll offer them a tissue. I can’t imagine why someone would be bothered by such a thing.

For some reason, you have a major disconnect with the following terminologies, "Respect" and "Disagreement"....While I respect his right to protest, I disagree with his argument and his choice of stages. It's that simple, but from the Liberal perspective, to disagree means that you "have failed to grasp the concept"....

My turn to laugh out loud. You should try a little harder at not being a Troll.

Example: "I respect your intellect, but disagree with your argument"

You say you disagree with his argument. Does that mean that you don't believe there has been excessive violence by the police against African Americans? If so, that changes what you have been saying. You have been saying that you disagree with his manner of protesting, but now I read your opinion in an entirely different light.

I do not know, I have a difficult time discerning between what the media reports and what actually takes place. I have to believe in the good in Policeman, that is not to say that there are bad apples and more than likely, a lot of them. But I refuse to believe that "all" Police are evil.

Obviously not all police are bad. It is an extremely low percentage. Nobody has said anything other than that.

I get the protest about blacks being targets of overly aggressive tactics by some police. Yet that fails in comparison to the black on black violence in most inner cites of major metropolitan areas here in the USA. Where is the millionaire athlete protest against that? When anyone is killed In a senseless manner, it is a tragic, regardless of skin color. I guess if the media can't politicize something, it doesn't matter. If black lives truly matter, the person holding the gun and pulling the trigger is irrelevant. To most, the only relevance is if they carry a badge. The news headlines prove that. Over the past 35 years, almost 235,000 blacks have been killed by other blacks in America. http://americanfreepress.net/in-just-35-years-232000-u-s-blacks-killed-by-other-blacks/

After reading that I feel better when I see the video of the cop here in SC blasting away Walter Scott in the back. Since blacks kill other blacks, that makes it all good. What a silly a$$ argument to make.

So you are asking us to pretend like we never saw your countless posts bashing CK, and that we should take it as you being respectful? What planet are you on? Why not just say you hate the guy and don’t respect him, like I do about Trump? Afraid to disappoint your father?

Please, what has this gentleman sacrificed?. You want to talk about sacrifice?. There are so many examples of real sacrifice going around you everyday that are far more worthy of your attention. Who makes a bigger sacrifice than the Parent who goes hungry so his children can eat? or the Teacher?...or the Military?..or the Firefighter?...or the first responders when you've been in an auto accident? ..or the Police? .. Yes, the Police.

Yes, all of these people, plus Kaepernick, and even Jesus Christ himself, all belong in the same category of great people who made great sacrifices to better the world. Amen.

Because I am nothing like you.

I ask or need zero from you.

I care not what you think.

But, you will respond because you just can't accept that not everyone sees things the way you do....

Most adults would just move on, but you can not and that is truly pathetic.

2009: NFL players began standing on the field for the national anthem before the start of primetime games. Before this, players would stay in their locker rooms except during the Super Bowl and after 9/11.

If the NFL was about "fixing" this to the satisfaction of the fans, they would return to this format. Spectators would see more Football and players would no longer be protesting in front of a captive audience.
