Football season!  My favorite time of the year!!

Man so much momentum behind the Eagles spread.  It was just 7/6.5 2 weeks ago, but what a disaster this Dallas team looks like. 

What a brutal week - first place only got half of the games right.

Thanks everybody that signed up again.  Coot* dropped out for this year, but I told him he wasn't going to win anyway ...  

Hello friends.

I think about some of you guys on gamedays.  Sang and the Bears....quite the season so far huh?  Lee and the Lions....might actually miss the playoffs?  Porkchopbob and the Packers....sucks for Micah and the team for that injury and their post season ceiling.  Think we had a Seattle fan at one time.  I forget who wharfrat liked, Notre Dame and Yankees, but football I don't know - oh, I think Patriots.  Speaking of....that was a hell of a comeback by the Bills.  Robslob and his injury plagued Niners just keep quietly racking up wins.  

My wife loves Mahomes and was nearly going to cry at the his injury. 

How about Phillip Rivers!?  Man I loved that story, 4 years out of the league, 44 years old.  Awesome.  That team really showed up to try and get that Seattle win.  Very clear Rivers is extremely limited but I would love to see Indy regain some traction and make a run with Rivers.  I just don't think his arm is going to be able.  But pretty strong team around him.  SF D is going to be extremely tough for old #17 this week.

Football season still my absolute favorite time of year.  I bet a lot, it is kind of different now with so much online betting available during the game which has made my pregame betting a little lazy because I can get down at any point throughout the game now.

Related, FCS college football playoffs have been wild.  King of the subdivision NDSU lost at home as 24pt favorites.  Yale had a 29pt comeback in the final 20 minutes to beat YSU.  Rising Tarleton just lost as 14 pt home favorite to one of two Cinderella teams.  Cat-Griz rematch coming up this week.  Been crazy and really hard postseason to try and predict.

I know you guys like FBS and it's getting ready to roll it's post season.

Yes, and my Illinois State Redbirds are the ones who knocked off NDSU .... 

The Bears have certainly made it interesting this year ...

Cinderella has made it to the ball!

Man, that Packers-Bears game last night!  Wow.

Usually it is the kiss of death in the pick'em when everyone has the same team, except yesterday unanimous picks went 2-0!  Although the Bears maybe shouldn't have...there have been, it seems, more than the normal amount of crazy comeback finishes this year.

Well, with just the playoffs to go, Nebish kicked our butts in the football pool.  But, the next 3 are all within 1 game for 2nd place honors.  Lee checked out so early he's beating DanB in the race for last place.

Should be some fun playoff games.

Oh - and go ISU tonight!  There are a few bars around me hosting watch parties tonight - trying to decide between my comfy chair and one of them ...

So, the NFL pool is finally over.  Thanks to all that participated.  We do it for fun and bragging rights, no money.

Interesting year, Nebish took us all to the cleaners - but he is a professional at this anyway ... 😎 

Biggest surprise was Lee taking last place, letting DanB off the hook for once - and Lee used to be pretty good at this before.

It took until week 8 for DanB to be too drunk to make his picks ... 🤣 

I started out slow, took over 2nd place for a while at the end, but had a couple bad weeks and Marco beat me for 2nd.

Picking against the spread certainly makes it interesting - a lot of games this year could have gone either way.
