Although there a few small similarities, Nixon was smart and effective. He also came from nothing, unlike Trump who came from family money. I'd trade Trump for Nixon in a heartbeat. I think they are headed for a similar fate though.

What motivated Nixon and what motivates Trump couldn't be more different.

It would just give you another Republican to complain about. Not to much difference there.
