They can work for private security firms. If they do it for high level executives they might make more money. Just have to think outside the box. They can also go into other industries. Do you know that many funeral directors are former cops. They are able to deal with dead bodies. They can do anything else. Pursue other lines of work. But Subway or washing cars? Nope. If desperate they can join a Blackwater type company and make nice money and have excitement if they need that.

Considering the evil in all the alphabet agencies at least Blackwater is honest that they are mercenaries and soldiers of fortune.
There are other things they could do. I know a former NYPD cop who is now in local town government. He still wants to change things and is working for a political party.
