I watched this A.M., and I too thought age may have caught up with him. I'm sorry to say that because he's a war veteran - someone who didn't dodge the draft like other unnamed cowards. He is also and always has been an impartial individual in the high level jobs he has performed.

The Q & A went as expected this A.M. The Dems spending tremendous time attempting to get Mueller to validate the points of lies and obstruction by Trump & subordinates, and the GOP trying to tarnish the long term GOP Special Counsel's conclusions and findings - all to support Trump.

I was struck by Mueller's seemingly lack of knowledge and depth on the issue he is testifying about.

I didn't get the sense of a lack of knowledge, only deference to the Report, or refusing to discuss internal conversations or comment on ongoing investigations.

But not much to see here. Anyone who expected anything new beyond grandstanding outrage on either side of the aisle was going to be disappointed.

In Mueller's defense, it has been a while since he finished up his oversight and administration role of the report and investigation. These Congressmen and woman are very prepared and at this point are more familiar with the details of the report that Mueller himself his - or so it appeared to me. 5 minutes is tough, mostly because he has had to have the Congressmen repeat so many questions that it eats up the limited time there is. He seems to be doing better in this second round.

Mueller was never going to read from the report so there'd never be film of him quoting it that could be used out of context.

Didn't watch after multiple previous hearings (Comey, Sessions, Kavanaugh, Cohen) - precisely because he was going to avoid anything that could be used by 24/7 media or in campaign ads from either side & it would be as you point out partisan grandstanding.

My take on it is that Mueller's performance was so bad that those on the far left are likely to say, "No wonder he couldn't find proof of any crimes. After 22 months of investigating we now know for certain why he didn't get the goods on Trump. He can't even remember where he parked his car."

Fusion GPS met with the Russian chick and arranged the Popadopoulus meeting, she then met afterwards with Fusion GPS to report on covert operation meeting. How could he NOT know what Fusion GPS is?
