I just checked into facebook and saw a video from one of the "ladies" from the US Soccer Team. She's on the parade float showing her "true" colors. This comes after one of them tossed the American Flag on the ground to join in on a goofball dance (another of better upbringing swept it up right away) to celebrate on the field post match, This is a new level of classlessness.

Definitely not classy or ladylike, but coming from a really good and empowered place. Women are pissed now. Your video clip scared me. It is frightening and disturbing to see the grim face of real revolution. Men are going to get their asses kicked hard as women take over society. We men have thousands of years of really rotten behavior to pay for, and it is going to hurt, unless we roll with the change and catch up before the axe falls.
It's happening for real, women are taking power - quick look at college statistics shows women outnumber men approaching double and climbing.
The complaints here about perversion incest and animae (wtf is that?) coming from LGBTQ was exactly wrong, that is male stuff - as society becomes run by females it will become unrecognizable, there will be less and less tolerance of male aggression and things like incest and exploitation. I pray the Veterans Administration has been getting cleaned up and their priorities realigned to accommodate the truly deserving heroes in our society. They've prepaid for that care. The stories of what our family, friends, and neighbors had/have to endure to receive basic care and Prompt appointments were disheartening and never should have been allowed to occur and then be covered up.
The Military Code is based on Honor, Loyalty, and Service and they were getting the exact opposite from our National complacency machine on their return. Too many auto pilot programs that worsened the suffering and prolonged the agonies.
It's often pointed out by everyday Americans on who we should be focusing on and in what order, but it's a forgotten pledge by most politicians. They blurt out how their constituents put them there for this agenda or that agenda, but it's really not? I hope the Pride Of The Family gets the respect and care she deserves. No long waits for appointments, no red tape about what care can be given, they get sh!t done.
One of Amy's biggest problems was that system-wide her various doctors didn't interact.
One would prescribe a medication not bothering to see what other meds she was taking.
Her worst suicide episode occurred when some "friends" stole her meds.
When she was taken into the VA by LE, the doctors couldn't believe the combination of meds she was withdrawing from, said it would have killed most people.
That's all in the past now, thankfully.
It is maddening though that the VA is forbidden to even mention cannabis as an alternative to the pharma garbage they approve.
Her therapist said from day one that when it was possible, she'd be the first one to be recommended for medical cannabis.
Doesn't matter, we know what works best even when the government doesn't endorse it.

I didn't take it as disrespect, I just wanted to point out you assumed my veteran child was male.
She's not and I'm damn proud of what she's accomplished.
The Army was the best, then worse thing that ever happened to her.
Her mother wasn't loving or even caring for her.
I was the one who lost sleep not knowing what country she was in for months when she went down field.
Like one of her brothers, she doesn't speak to her mother.
I can fully sympathize, I've said here before I had an abusive wife and the sad thing is all the kids have suffered for it.

I can accept a QB on my team that has a tendency to be a pompous ass, one who is brash, loud, and clownish at times if he IS the QB of my team. This QB is the temporary leader of my team. There's the draft and free agency coming. If there's a better QB available, I'll have a new QB within 2-6 years. That's guaranteed. The Defense is just as brash, loud, and clownish. They're on the same team but does nothing to help the team. They are inept, angry, and old, but the media loves them and praises them? My team is competing with the other teams in the division and whole league. This hasn't happened for a while. While not basement dwellers in the standings we were a losing team. The team is winning against all odds, even though some deranged fans and the press bash him and his linemen. I'm just a spectator shaking my head from the top row of the bleachers. I root for my team, we're winning now, I doubt my next QB is going to lead us to as many wins, but I'll support them too. Even if they are brash, cocky, and asinine at times. Are they effective and competent? What does the scoreboard say, Go Team!

Peter Alonso a league minimum earning rookie won the All Star Weekend Home Run Derby which comes with a $1,000,000 monetary prize has pledged to donate it to the Wounded Warriors Fund for disabled veterans and their families. He stated how much of his family have served our country.
Like Apple Pie and Chevrolet. An All "American" gesture. I love the Jim Abbott and Pat Tillman types of American Sports Stars. I hope this kid has a long and storied career.
It's damn sad we even have a "Wounded Warriors" foundation.
If our government can send these people off to war they should sure as sh!t be the ones to take care of the veterans when they return.
No private funding should be needed to cover the failings of the government.

Amy did seven years in the Army, had a roadside bomb go off next to her Humvee in Bagdhad.
At some point the VA will replace both her knees and fix a shoulder.
She already had a shredded patella tendon repaired while serving, that delayed a deployment for a year.
I wish it had been career ending but at least she'll now get lifetime care due to time served.
The mental scars are the more serious ones but she's 100 times better now than when she first returned.
I haven't had a 1 a.m. suicide call in several years so things are getting better for us.
I still think the folks who sent her there should bear the cost of the wounds and not depend on outside charities.
To let you know what's getting ready to be posted, I'm the child of a WWII 100% disabled Vet, the brother of
an Air Force Vet wounded in the Tan Son Nhut rocket attacks, went to college under a contract to the Army (Ranger School, Airborne, Recondo, pre-flight, and Artillary) got RIFed after the Armistice and therefore not considered a Veteran.Your daughter signed a contract to "take the bullet" for civilians who didn't want to protect their liberties.
She fulfilled her part, now it's time for the US to fulfill their part. If she has left the military, the VA should take and pay for all expenses and support she needs, including the 2am suicide calls. Don't be ashamed of those, I have Vietnam vet buddies who still make those calls.
She did her part. Now it's time for the government that put her in harm's way to HEAL AND SUPPORT her in any way needed without her or her family having to worry about expenses and suffering.
