I'm in the F' Rapinoe camp. It's sad that the "American" soccer team has turned itself into a lesbian political partisan team. I saw a news show, no not Fox that had the issue of Rapinoe pushing the F' Trump and the White House invite narrative, but accepts AOC's Democratic House Of Congress invite. They stated how there are multiple lesbians on the team and added there's even a mother on the team. Now Schumer is inviting (accepted) them, Pelosi got in on AOC's invite, and now Deblasio will be back on the parade float for another NYC parade tomorrow. I wonder when Kamala, Butigieg, Booker, Gabbard, and the rest of the Democratic field attempts to have parades in Cali, Iowa, Indiana, Hawaii, NJ, and beyond. I'm waiting for the Pro Incest and Animae candidates to arise? Everybody has rights ya know.

The FIFA officials had the common sense to mandate standing for all National anthems. No matter what President was in office I'd be repulsed by it just as I was with other asinine antics. I'm an Independent. I voted for Obama and regretted it. I voted for Al Gore who was a complete buffoon, but I supported his surrounding think tank. After 9/11 I was elated that Bush was in office. The President is temporary the harm the antics cause and precedents set are not.

I believe in everyone's right to do whatever they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. When I sent my daughter off to college I wanted to give her an education and a fuller life. She came home gay. I wouldn't wish my heartache on anyone. I'll never cradle her child or walk her down the aisle. I walked thru my living room after work as my young teenage girl watched Hollywood agenda driven shows like Pretty Little Liars targeting our children. I've stated how unhappy I am with what our kids are subjected to. While their minds are still being formed they're led to believe that men are women and women are men and the family existence is corrupted. Suicides are up to staggering numbers amongst our youth. I believe in traditional family values.
I believe in the beauty of life, of passing your DNA and heritage down to the next generation. To see the glimmer in your own childs eye, the dimples that have been passed down from generations. The mental and physical trials of your own you can better understand and guide your kids through. That's the meaning of life in my mind and heart. You can't advertise smoking cigarettes on buses, billboards, or TV, but they sure can push the sh#t out of homosexuality. 90% of TV gives our kids an education that does not benefit their overall quality of life (or their parents)Bloodlines end, the national birthrate is at historic lows. A man and a woman have natural places in the role of mankind and raising children, but in today's distorted world they don't. It doesn't make our world a better place. I could never have imagined this.
I'm just a Dad who will never realize all his dreams. When the road of life should be an endless one. I feel pulling over and parking on the first cul de sac is the agenda of the day.

I regret my post. It was an overshare for sure. After the name calling I felt I had to explain something, but it was a mistake. My daughter is a wonderful lady, an absolute sweetheart in fact. She is dedicated and compassionate and is an asset to our world. Her work with kids and families with autism is immeasurable. She makes a difference in other peoples lives and in a big way. My wife and I are extremely proud of her.
Your choices in life are not made or determined pre-birth. Life molds each and every one of us. We are each our own lumps of clay and the people we surround ourselves with and experiences we have mold us into how we react, what we believe, what we are, and what we strive to be. Nobody was born to be gay, nobody was born to be a mass murder, Beto was not born to lead this country.
Empathy, love, joy, hatred, and other things are shaped by life. A rapist murderer experienced lust and violence somewhere it was not preordained to be so. A courageous leader saw honor, valor, and perhaps sacrifice that made them who they were. I believe firmly on living your best life and some choices don't allow that best life to occur. I believe in family values and children benefit from having both proactive parents involved in their lives. I believe a mother and father each offer much needed qualities. For those that believe otherwise I'm not looking to change that or get into a pissing/squatting contest. We all live with our choices in life. We will all enjoy the rewards and consequences. I don't fret my life. I have been blessed beyond belief in my life. I'm not wealthy at least not in the monetary sense, but I've enjoyed a wealth of experiences and emotions, I get a kick out of passing on a gift or a kind gesture. This is a great sports story (for me a Mets fan especially), that should be praised. While the NFL, NBA & USWS have gone political, Baseball with all it's ethnic diversity remains the shining light in sports.
Peter Alonso a league minimum earning rookie won the All Star Weekend Home Run Derby which comes with a $1,000,000 monetary prize has pledged to donate it to the Wounded Warriors Fund for disabled veterans and their families. He stated how much of his family have served our country.
Like Apple Pie and Chevrolet. An All "American" gesture. I love the Jim Abbott and Pat Tillman types of American Sports Stars. I hope this kid has a long and storied career.
It's damn sad we even have a "Wounded Warriors" foundation.
If our government can send these people off to war they should sure as sh!t be the ones to take care of the veterans when they return.

Well, first of all Fretsman, I been wanting for awhile to express my fondness and appreciation for You, You give so much to us here the wonderful music links, photos and commentary, even playing Duane's guitar for us! My daughter has not conducted her life the smoothest way possible, 3 husbands 2 kids, split Families, hard on thus grandpa, been weighing heavy on me for a like time, I just do what I can personally I have struggled a good bit!!!

Amy did seven years in the Army, had a roadside bomb go off next to her Humvee in Bagdhad.
At some point the VA will replace both her knees and fix a shoulder.
She already had a shredded patella tendon repaired while serving, that delayed a deployment for a year.
I wish it had been career ending but at least she'll now get lifetime care due to time served.
The mental scars are the more serious ones but she's 100 times better now than when she first returned.
I haven't had a 1 a.m. suicide call in several years so things are getting better for us.
I still think the folks who sent her there should bear the cost of the wounds and not depend on outside charities.

PR Excellent to hear your girl is recovering . What a devastating hit. She is tougher and braver than I ever was in life, and you are an ace too, for talking her down and helping her readjust, must have been countless hours and onging hard stress on the whole family.
I'm sorry, I meant no disrespect. Your Daughter is a hero and she deserves the utmost respect and that should start the government. I pray the Veterans Administration has been getting cleaned up and their priorities realigned to accommodate the truly deserving heroes in our society. They've prepaid for that care. The stories of what our family, friends, and neighbors had/have to endure to receive basic care and Prompt appointments were disheartening and never should have been allowed to occur and then be covered up.
