I am not really a fan of maroon 5 but I do respect Adam Levines statement on why he is going forward with the halftime show. He is getting alot of pressure from the left to make this a political superbowl and either take a kaeperknick (knee) or even not go thru with the show. He is standing firm against all this backlash and not getting bullied by the tolerant left on this.

If for some strange reason he does decide to ruin the show and take a knee, than he should of stepped down and not taken the gig. You cant take the gig and then for selfish reasons make it about something other than a football halftime show. We'll see.

So wait you are applauding him but if he comes out in a Kaep jersey or whatever else he sees fit you are going to whine about it?

Okay. I think he should do whatever he wants. Play the show, not play the show, take a bow, take a knee, wear a Kaep tee or just play some music.

"Tolerant left" as opposed to intolerant right?

A big USA issue made by Patriot Prez who bows down to Putin.

If you look at goobs reply to me he is tolerant as long as Adam Levine and Maroon 5 don't choose to behave differently than he desires.

Of the two Parties, which one is the more adamant about preaching tolerance?

and not getting bullied by the tolerant left on this.

It’s absurd that someone feels bullied by the people on the left. Only a fool would think intolerance is specific to one political affiliation only. That’s why prejudice is taught to be a cancer in a society - because it’s illogical. Case in point - in the Kaepernick example, it’s the right that is intolerant of Kaepernick’s method.

If for some strange reason he does decide to ruin the show and take a knee, than he should of stepped down and not taken the gig. You cant take the gig and then for selfish reasons make it about something other than a football halftime show. We'll see.

Honestly, why would you give a sh*t what a Super Bowl halftime pop act does? “Ruin the show”? Isn’t it silly to even give it thought?

in the Kaepernick example, it’s the right that is intolerant of Kaepernick’s method.

Who here can politically protest at their job?

I bet we have some union workers on this site that have that right, as do teachers, etc. why do you ask? I thought it was about taking the knee and disrespecting the flag with you anyway.

A bunch of MAGA homophones assaulted a black gay actor and put a noose over his neck. So maybe there's a pretty good reason.

I think your answer can be found in the party that promotes acts and "anti" legislation against minorities, women, foreigners, and lgbt.

Ever witness a Trump rally? Get a good idea of what tolerance sounds & looks like?

I did no think Maroon 5 was all that relevant anymore. I thought it was an odd pick. SB halftime show is way to long, overrated. JUst go back to 15miins and bring out the marching band!!!! 😛 😛 😛 😛 Grin Grin Grin Grin

I think the requirement for all Super Bowl halftime acts is to be about 10 years past their expiration date.

Aerosmith, Janet Jackson, the Blues Brothers, Coldplay, Madonna, The Who, Bruce, U2, etc.

Maybe we can track down Up With People for the post-game show.

Better be careful. The right likes to call out people like you for being intolerant of homophobes and bigots and use it as an example of the left’s hypocrisy.

Agreed.....The super bowl has become too much hype and not enough game, frankly. How refreshing it would be if played the week after the league championship, on a Saturday evening, and without a goofy musical halftime show.

I had heard the name Maroon 5, but never heard a note of their music until I saw a Super Bowl halftime commercial. I am rarely compelled to stay tuned to the TV at halftime of these games. I'm not sure I could tell you who played it last year, or most any year.

The last good halftime show I can remember was Prince, I think it was 2007.

I’m glad Maroon 5 didn’t do anything “selfish” so as not to ruin Goober’s evening, lol. I hope he’s feeling relieved of that stress.

Nice to see that Politics was kept out of the Halftime show, regardless of your stance or your beliefs...Now that the game is over, stand up and shout your feelings via a press conference.

Good for Maroon 5

I recommend people try harder to not be offended by something that occurs during a football game.

Actually I take that back - I was highly offended by the god-awful music.

"Intolerant"?...LOL as gauged by the Party that preaches "tolerance"?

If you preach Tolerance, you have no ground to stand on when you call someone out for being "intolerant"

Think about that.

Serious question, no name-calling......If someone preaches equality (as I hope we all would), then what is your appropriate protocol if said person sees bigotry?

Never attended one. But I believe a great example of "Pot, meet kettle" would be the incessant need of the Anti-Trump crowd to steal and attempt to destroy property (MAGA Hats) that does not belong to them.

Perfectly stated 2112.

I don’t understand the confusion......logically, those who support tolerance should fight against intolerant bigotry. What don’t people understand about that?
