He was great. If either Joe Maddon or Dusty Baker was his manager he would have been pulled in the 4th inning. I am glad A J Hinch remembers how they got that far.

He pitched an amazing game. As a Yankee fan, you can't get mad when you lose to a guy throwing like that from the mound. Seemed like every Yankee batter was immediately down 0-2. And how many innings without a walk? Pretty nuts.

Gary Sanchez, however, you can get mad at. He continues to have trouble catching the ball. Normally I'd chalk that up to a tough play at the plate, but Sanchez has been consistently fumbling balls all season. At least it didn't get behind him this time.

I'm impressed with Houston's crowd, never really thought of Houston as a baseball town but they're in it. Not too impressed by their ballpark - balls hitting repeatedly hitting the rafters and getting stuck in the wall. Also, if that hadn't been a little kid reaching over, Judge wouldn't have held up (he's too damn nice sometimes) and they would have ruled interference.

As a Tigers fan I'm glad that Verlander is doing well this postseason

As a Tigers fan, I had mixed feelings about them trading him. My wife made a point that I thought but didn't say; it would have been cool if he had spent his whole career in Detroit but I understand why they did it.

Yanks are in trouble. They are going to have to face Verlander and Keuchel again.

porkchop, as a Yankee fan, can you explain why Judge is batting second with a .120 average?

When the Yankees rebounded at home I told my son that they have to get by Verlander. Maybe next year.
