It's not about the Democrats going after Russian ties, nor Comey's investigation of Clinton's email server. Comey wasn't in anyone's good graces, but when the President fires the director of the agency that is conducting an investigation of him, no matter how much merit the case has, it is a conflict. It's also ridiculous considering how much faith Trump had in Comey through out 2016 when it suited him, especially when he wraps his decision in that context. Conversely, if Clinton as President had fired Comey while being investigated, you'd have crapped your pants. Interesting to see how long you keep drinking spoiled milk and telling us it's lemonade.
There will be another FBI Director, Comey is just a man and it's the President's decision to make, but it will be interesting to see how much of a pal to Trump he is.
