Well, it's also a little alarming. If the measure of American exceptionalism is uniqueness, then having a president who salivates in the shadow of Putin is a bit disconcerting. Trump is simply part of a nationalist chain of lapdogs sucking from the same tit. He has basically relinquished his role as world leader with his relish for Putin. I am surprised that Putin so easily conquered what is an Everest sized ego.
And then there is the association with Rodrigo Duterte in the same sentence as Trump. Duterte used to shoot and kill people he thought were suspected criminals as he drove through the streets of the Philippines.
