"If he has to be fumigated out"

This is balanced leadership?.....
She is awful. And yes, as an elected official, she is an assumptive representative of her constituents and as she claimed ("I am second in line") she should attempt to remain above those she has contempt for, otherwise you have stooped to a level you despise. This is called a lack of diplomacy. Pretty difficult to accuse the President of doing something if you turn around and do the exact same thing.
I am not an elected official and yes like those here who continually pass judgement on President Trump I am choosing to use this forum to say that "Fumigating" a Human being is about as low as you can go.
Elected officials who live in glass houses, should not throw stones.

If you ever called Trump out on the numerous awful things he has said, you might have a rational point. But you've given Trump a free pass to shamefully insult at will, so your outrage here is the complete hypocrisy.

Too funny. Will you call Pelosi out for that?..or join me in line as a hypocrite?

You've already ignored the crux of the issue, so you're already at the front of that line.
Trump would not confirm he would accept election results, in which case Pelosi stated he would be fumigated out of the White House. It's a bold statement, but a natural reaction towards a person who thinks they are above the office and the election process.

I didn't think so

You'd think people would be more upset with Trump's cozy BFF relationship with Putin, never calling out Putin for putting bounties on our soldiers, putting innocent children in cages, mocking the disabled, and threatening to veto a defense bill because it contains a provision to change bases named after Confederate heroes of Trump.
But that awful Nancy Pelosi - almost as awful as Hillary or Joe.

Not everyone is a Democrat, thank God

Once again, it is hard to accuse when you do the exact same thing.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said John McCain "wasn't a war hero"?
No?
Yeah, because it's not the exact same thing here. I can admit I'm not a huge Pelosi fan, but you've can't stop your folk-hero worship of Trump long enough to admit he's been saying shameful things for years, but are lightning quick to defend him. If you believe a President suggesting they wouldn't respect election results enough to vacate the White House is ok, then you need a civics lesson.

From your first attempt posting this topics, nice self-contradiction:
try, just try to be a better person than those you despise.
great advice!
Nancy Pelosi is an awful human being
See previous advice!

but you've can't stop your folk-hero worship of Trump long enough to admit he's been saying shameful things for years, but are lightning quick to defend him.
Typical. Kinda like the new Liberal PC chant as it pertains to "Black Lives matter"....
"Silence is violence"...You have said nothing against, ...thererfore
I am a Registered voting member of the Libertarian party who will once again participate in the voting process and I will pull the lever and stand against the Democratic party. If it makes you feel better to label me as a Trump supporter because of that, so be it.

I'm not sure what you are objecting to. If Trump loses and refuses to leave, he will be be trying to usurp power of the US in defiance of the Constitution. A traitor to the highest degree in the history of the US. How can you be ok with that? He would need to go by any means necessary.
If the election is not decided yet, it doesn't mean Trump gets to continue. The Constitution states very clearly that the president's and vice president's term is over at noon on January 20. If the election isn't decided by then, then the third in line takes office, and right now that is Nancy Pelosi. So the next president will be Trump if he wins, Biden if he wins, or a third party candidate if they win. If the election isn't decided, then the president will be Pelosi (or whoever is the Speaker of the House). Don't like it, then call for the Constitution to be amended.

Fumigate is too light for me. I'd have Vindman grab his useless a$$ by the ear and drag his useless a$$ down the WH stairs where Vindman can then kick him to the curb, handcuff him, and ship his useless a$$ to the Hague...
That would be my dream scenario

Nope. Disregard your hypocrisy with an unrelated label you saw on the news if you like, but your defense of Trump in this thread is proof you hold Trump's opponents to a different standard. Otherwise you'd be just as incredulous over his behavior as what has triggered your fury over Pelosi.
[Edited on 7/21/2020 by porkchopbob]

but your defense of Trump in this thread
I believe you and I have a real difference of opinion in regard to the literal definition of defend.
Quotes please!

This thread is a rush to Trump's defense. He refused to state he would accept the decision of the people and the Republic, yet you are solely upset at the person who called him out on it. Stop pretending like you're objectionally against gutter politics and you fainted at such "fumigate" talk; you're just against whom ever is against Trump.

This thread is a rush to Trump's defense.
No, I started the thread as a result of Nancy Pelosi's comment on "Fumigation" in connection with the removal a sitting president.
Still waiting for the quotes where I defended the president.

Well, there it is again. Whether you can see it or not, you are defending a President for refusing to state that he would leave office if he lost the election. You've mischaracterized (surprise!) what she said, it's not about undue removal, it's in regards to the election process:
"It has nothing to do with a certain occupant of the White House doesn’t feel like moving and has to be fumigated out of there, because the presidency is the presidency. It’s not geography or location."
But if you're upset about what Pelosi said, you're going to lose your mind when you hear what Ted Yoho of FL said! 😮

Technically she’s not talking about the removal of a sitting president she’s talking about the removal of a man who lost an election yet refuses to cede power. Fumigated out is on the light side of the punishment he should get if he tries to pull that.

If he loses and refuses to leave, he is NOT a sitting president. He would be attempting to take over the US as a strongman dictator. I don't care how much I like a president, if he doesn't give up power after losing an election, he is an enemy of the state and needs to be removed by any means necessary. As much as I hated when Trump was elected, if Obama refused to leave office and turn power over to Trump he should have been arrested and charged with treason. Honestly, the death penalty would have been appropriate. The peaceful transition of power must take place. I can't understand how you could support Trump or anybody else not being removed by whatever means necessary after losing an election. That is the entire basis of our system of government.

I can't understand how you could support Trump or anybody else not being removed by whatever means necessary after losing an election.
Show me that support, please

I have no idea what you mean or are asking.

pledge allegiance to Donald Trump of the United States of Russia And to the tyrrany for which it stands two nations under Putin indivisible with internment camps, deportations, fear, hate, lying, incompetence, corruption, secret police and less freedoms for everyone.

Pretty simple, you asked me "how you could support Trump or anybody else not being removed by whatever means necessary after losing an election"?
And I responded with.."Where I have I supported him, show me"?.....
My criticism of Pelosi is just that, nothing more, but I am guessing people here will continue to read into that whatever they will...
I don't think very much of Speaker Pelosi and some here think less of the President.....That is where we stand.

As a registered Libertarian, what are your thoughts of any elected official refusing to accept the results of an election? Do you find the idea of a President pre-emptively stating that he disputes the results of an upcoming election months before it happens as disturbing as any statement made by a political rival?
Ok, fine. It was a horrible thing for Pelosi to say. But, you’re no Libertarian, because like most “Libertarians,” you claim to be something that doesn’t even exist. It’s just an umbrella that moderate stoner Republicans use whenever it’s too distasteful to actually identify as a Republican. Which, these days, happens more often than not. I mean, one can support and get behind every single Rightist position but, hey, that doesn’t mean they are a Trump supporter...that’s just too much to bear, huh?
At the very least just come out and say that you hate liberals more than anything that Trump could ever do or say. I mean, that’s the barometer, right?
If Libertarians actually existed they’d call out the things they see wrong no matter if it was a Democrat or a Republican that said it. But, they never do.

She is awful.
I love Nancy Pelosi. She would wipe the floor with you.

Hate is a very strong word, but I do disagree with most all of their platform and......it is.

They do actually exist and identify more closely with the right than the left, hard pill to swallow I know, but that's the way it is. The left/Liberal mindset (Imho) is just nuts
I love Nancy Pelosi.
Excellent
She would wipe the floor with you.
I imagine she would.

Since Trump entered the race prior to 2016, political rhetoric sounds like the stuff we used to say in the schoolyard in 4th grade. Name calling, stupid insults
Pelosi shouldn’t have said it
Trump’s mildest comments are far worse. It’s so bad we don’t even notice it any more when he says crazy stuff- we are used to it and he will say something far worse
If I was gonna get upset and post every stupid, objectionable remark a politician has made over the past 4 years, I would no longer be able to function. I would be spending all my time being upset and posting.
I get it that you’re a Libertarian and don’t like the Dems.
How can you vote for, or not criticize someone who disregards the Constitution, brings in the military to disrupt protests so he can walk to church, says he has absolute power over when the states reopen, will force schools to reopen, and sends unmarked federal troops into a city? Isn’t that the definition of tyranny?
People don’t want big government- why are they accepting a government where’re all the power is held by 1 person?

Yeah, she could have gotten her point across, a point that anyone will agree with, without trying to puff up her chest. Her word choice distracts and sensationalizes what she actually said, which is exactly what happened here. Trump has taken politics to the gutter, and a few politicians have tried to meet him there and it rarely works. MAGAs are going to MAGA regardless, but I get that if you're conservative or if your 401K was doing well, you also aren't going to complain. But it's ok to be against liberal policies and still call the trash talk even. It's ok to admit that Trump is unstable and ignorant of basic government, yet still gets your policies across the goal line. To get incredulous over an inappropriate statement by a politician mean calling them all out, not just those you disagree with. Anyone who thinks what Pelosi said was "as low as you can go" has either been hiding under a rock the past 4 years or is wearing rose-tinted MAGA glasses.
