Guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I still am.....

I am blushing right now for being so naive, there is no way I should still be surprised, but I am. After so much disgusting, unprofessional, criminal, misogynistic, greed and power driven and incompetent people as the ones in our current "Republican " administration. I don't even comprehend how You can put together such a bunch of bumbling, lying, shameless, vulgar and depraved individuals and I have been around some real dirtbags? This disgusting latest episode which involves the president's spouse abusing top aid Rob Porter, John Kelly, Hope Hicks and who knows else? This guy has a record so checkered, he can't be vetted, yet remains at Trump's right hand?? I honestly believe Democracy, our Constitution and our system will survive, but Trump and his sleazy minions are a real and genuine threat..........Peace........joe

What I can tell Yous is that I have never sold my soul or gave my full belief to any politician, it seems like it's a dirty business run by dirty People, most likely power craving People, however this bunch led at the top by Trump seems especially sleazy and slimy and deceitful, l mean all of em!!! All that have been let go, as well as a lot still in place. As human beings they just make me want to go EEEWWWWWWW!!!! I have always felt Trump to be a pretty poor excuse for a human being!!!.......Peace.....joe

Coal was going out of business because of the free market. Also why do we need coal when there are better options?

We don't need it. You're right, there are better options.
Trump needs to amp up coal to appeal to voters (example - those in West Va) which in the past has been a coal state regardless of changing times & alternatives as well as the deterioration in that industry. He's appealing to base / angry coal voters. The irony is that the same people he appeals to are the ones who will suffer plenty with changes to health care legislation supported by the GOP.

"Trump needs to amp up coal to appeal to voters" as in the Democrats closing down the government by denying security and services to it's citizens over their demands for amnesty for illegal aliens?
The world wants coal and we have it.
Jobs for the people trumps the whiney global warming whack-jobs.

Question to the the right wingers on this thread, what's with all the wierd Hillary Clinton imagery? Also this talk of coal etc? You Guys are so far depriving me of some awesome entertainment and extreme hilarity at Your defense of Your president's right hand, wife beating, genius political advisor Rob Porter and his immoral and disgusting cohorts John Kelly and Hope Hicks. C'mon Guys give me something here, I am sure You have got some mumbo jumbo to offer as to why these folks are all OK and nothing wrong or deceptive was going on here?..............Peace.........joe

But Trump is a better deplorable.

Back when America was great, wife-beating was more common, so it's all part of the plan. It's all on the red hat.

I Voted 3rd party, but believe in "The lesser of two evils, is still evil" theory.

Wrong again, Bot Boy, the world doesn't want coal....Only those who haven't realized the rest of the world has moved on....But keep trying comrade from Bulgaria...

Wrong dumba$$.
Why does American coal sell so well worldwide?
The global warming whack-jobs keep screaming "alternative energy" but that Al Gore dream doesn't exist and the few fakes do not work.
You little electric car has to be charged by energy created by coal or natural gas.

Here is an article complete with graphs that shows, once again, Mule is wrong.
https://www.eia.gov/coal/annual/
Here is a story about coal plants that closed in 2017.

No way man, hay is an alternative energy source dreamed up by ecowackos.

I am no energy expert, ( nor is anyone Trump has appointed in this field), but about every 3 yrs I go down to West Virginia to let my wife visit Family, we go to Parkersburg and then down to the quite remote Clay County, the last trip was the first week of Nov. 2016, yes this is the same Clay whose Mayor and her assistant had to resign shortly after the Presidential election, due to racist Facebook posting, in which one was quoted as saying, "thank goodness we have a good looking first lady now, I am so sick of looking at that ape in high heels". Many of these people are so isolated and stuck in time that they are not too far removed from lynching People! Talked to quite a few people including folks that had worked in the coal field, Everyone I spoke with and heard tell their stories, was pretty much over coal, even they realized it is a dead or dying industry and it seemed most have moved on, although most were still pledging allegiance to Trump. In fact my sister in laws fiance just went back to school and got a degree in what else, Alternative Energy and Green Power??? Although Trump's desire to go back to using flint stones and lumps of coal for power, has hurt his field...........Peace.........joe

Calm down Bot Boy or your head might explode. Since you prove endlessly how ignorant you are I suspect you haven't the brain cells to afford losing them from your ruptured head. Or just try meditating while you await your next script from Russian Intelligence.

Why do liberals always play the race card when a conservative says a black person looks like a monkey? Can't even have an opinion about someone's looks these days without getting called a racist.
Why do racists always play the "race card" card whenever someone plays the race card?

Arguing about coal again I see. A previous linked eia page did not deal with 2017, only 2016 vs prior years. Here is the latest quarterly or annual data I can find on the eia site:
Coal Production:
2016 January - June = 334,078,xxx tons
2017 January - June = 384,115,xxx tons
https://www.eia.gov/coal/production/quarterly/pdf/t1p01p1.pdf
Exports:
2016 January - June = 28,376,426 tons
2017 January - June = 44,103,308 tons
55.4% increase
https://www.eia.gov/coal/production/quarterly/pdf/t7p01p1.pdf
Based on data available period-to-period both production and exports were up 2017 over 2016.

I wouldn't say we're arguing; I'm just spreading fake news......After all, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.. Besides, Russian Intelligence pays better. 😛

Good one!

The cute little coal production numbers above lacks context and is worthless.
The coal industry has a strong buy rating in the market and tens of thousands of good paying jobs are returning for the American People.
While the global warming hoax devotees take another beating, America is well on its way to becoming energy independent and a net exporter of energy.

Muleman, I am absolutely convinced the only reason you post here it to embarrass yourself. Those so-called "cute" coal figures I posted actually provide evidence for your side of the argument. More production and more exports 2017 vs 2016. Not that it was my intention to come to your defense, which is funny because if I was, you wouldn't even realize it and instead bash data that backs up your point. I don't know what you get out of coming here, but it might be best for you to spend your time somewhere else.

Unless it comes from a right wing source, he isn't smart enough to figure out you are supporting his case. He just regurgitated the right wing news of the day without putting any thought into it. I find it pretty funny how he thinks he's intelligent, while everyone else on the site is laughing at him.

Your civility is commendable but don't waste your bandwidth on that overmedicated toxic troll. You could post that 2+2=4 and he would tell you it was fake math, junior.

Yet coal is back and strong.
The people have their jobs back and America ii fast becoming energy independent and your global warming crap is exactly where it belongs; in the toilet.
Now plug your little "Smart Car" into an outlet powered by coal and natural gas and suck it up son.
Your green energy doesn't work.
