Let me guess who you think is going to kill her... the Clintons?

If the all-powerful “Killary” wanted her dead, why hasn’t it already happened?

Do you not think that Epstein was the kind of weasel that would rather die than face consequences?

For the sake of conversation, let's not forget that the Clintons are not the only people of power to have kept company with this guy. Prince Andrew for one.....Presidents Trump & Obama were seen on that island as well. That in mind, the list of potential silencers would more than likely "boggle the mind" and I am just stating that her death, while in custody would not surprise me in the least.

I'll play along ... to a degree.

Let's see - she was able to relocate, buy a new house with CASH, and have her phone number changed. Who could gain the most from hiding her out? Did they do this to keep her outta sight or to be held on ice until she was needed (for whatever reason)?

To Trump's credit - he was actually dismissive of Epstein (in the media). There's probably one (ahem) former elected official who's probably sweating bullets right about now.

Maybe just some election year shenanigans from the party with the deepest pockets?

She reportedly filed a claim against Epstein's estate, she will probably cut a deal for immunity for being a cooperative witness. She'll talk, walk and live happily ever after with an estate payout.

France probably named Foch Boulevard after women like her. [Oh Foch!]

She is at Metropolitan Correctional Center in Brooklyn. Bad infrastructure there qualifies it as a hellhole according to any attorney familiar with the place. There is a hearing Friday. She will appear by video conferencing.

Well Bill and Hillary Clinton aren't sweating bullets. Bill eventually admitted under oath to having sex with Jennifer Flowers twice and letting Monica give him BJ's in the Oval office. But that is it.

Jennifer Flowers told Larry King on CNN that Bill Clinton was lying. "Larry, Bill Clinton and I didn't have sex twice. That is a lie. We had sex over one hundred times while he was married to Hillary".

Three ladies claimed Bill Clinton forced himself on them and one called it a rape. During the rape Bill bit her lip to the point it was swollen. She said when it was over he put on a pair of sunglasses and as he went out the door, Bill looked at her and said " You better get some ice on that lip".

Eventually a book came out with interviews of dozens of women who had sexual experiences with Bill Clinton and some called it assault.

Bill and Hillary denied all those claims and Hillary said it is part of a left wing conspiracy to discredit her husband.

So let Maxwell sing. The Clintons have been though worse in good shape and so has Trump.

I am not likely to go for conspiracy theories. I believe Oswald acted alone and Russia did not tamper with any voting machines in 2016 for example. I think Jeffery killed himself in his Manhattan cell. But sometimes when I read about it, I must admit I have a slight doubt.

I'm not even sure what Maxwell is - a witness or a defendant. When Epstein cut a deal w/federal prosecutors in Miami, he included immunity for anyone the FBI considered a co-conspirator. Some were named & some weren't. Maxwell wasn't named but her attorneys have said she's covered. This was all about sex w/minors not celebrities.

Prince Andrew is the big name that she's got. He seems to have been connected by Maxwell to every available woman in the world. They're about the same age & ran in the same big money circles.

cyclone88. They are applying heavy pressure on her to sing about people involved. She is charged with aiding and abetting sex with minor teenagers.

I have a hunch the prosecutors in this are hoping one of the big fish to be implemented is President Trump's. The Dems in Congress and the Southern District in Manhattan are trying everything possible to get Trump's taxes and make them public. I'm not sure how they can do this even if the Supreme Court allows them to see them as it's a crime to make public someone's tax returns. A friend said today they hope to get a Federal judge to allow it in the national interest so people planning on voting for Trump with reconsider and vote for Biden. The New York Times working with the Democratic Party begged and wooed Trump's niece to turn on her uncle. Initially she leaked what she knew about Trump's taxes to the New York Times. Now she had a book. It's all part of the Democratic Party working with the news media (they hate Trump too) to pile on Trump so heavy this time that he will surely loose.

But the people I know you voted for Trump will vote for him again though they think he is immoral and he often makes them uncomfortable as conservative Catholics because of the judges Trump appoints. And a vote for Biden they fear will reverse those court appointments and it's a vote for open borders, legal late term abortion, socialism, high taxes and job killing regulations and forced removal of internal combustion engines and air travel with a big government take over of energy with a shift to all electric vehicles and high speed electric trains replacing air travel.

These people are in their 60's and 70's and will refuse to bow to liberal socialist Democrats and will continue to drive vehicles which use gasoline and fly to out of town destinations.

I read the indictment after I posted & it's pretty tame stuff that she can get out of if she is co-operative - perjury re Epstein & some enticement (taking girls shopping or to a movie)/interstate travel w/minors (17 yr olds). My British colleagues seem to think Prince Andrew is crazy scared w/some law firms and PR firms turning him down for representation. He definitely won't return to the US voluntarily but he's not immune from extradition just because he's a royal. He apparently has a lot to hide. Why the SDNY cares about that - especially if it took place in the UK or EU - is beyond me.

I think Trump is many things, but a child molester isn't one of them. Maxwell may cough up the names of more women he had sex or threesomes with, but who cares? I doubt she's going to make rape accusations against him going back to the 1990s. Was he an Epstein party guest? Sure, along w/every other wealthy guy in Manhattan. He admits that.

Trump's taxes have never been interesting to me. Any real estate developer in the world is going to have the lowest possible value & income on 4/15. If Congress was really interested, they could've pursued them through the Trump Organization CFO following Michael The Fixer's testimony & they chose not to. What would influence the electorate - that he has no money? He's said himself he never made much in real estate compared to The Apprentice.

The niece's book is family gossip. Is anyone surprised someone took Trump's SATs, he copped a feel, was called a clown by his sister, eager to please his father who controlled the purse strings?

I think the whole election is a just filling air time & news screens until November. People have made up their minds.

Today I heard they are starting the narrative of being worried about her mental state, so they put her in the SHU [special housing unit] and took her clothes, she has to wear paper clothes. Do they think that would cheer someone up? They want to scare, startle, destabilize her and then IF the order comes down, [from those who decide these things] they can say she killed herself.

Why don't they just put her on house arrest at a nice hotel with a guard outside the door maybe one inside also. She's wealthy and willing to cooperate. The Saudis did that when they had their crackdown and imprisoned people at the Ritz Carlton.

I don't get why people think she'd commit suicide. She's looking at months if convicted & community service/no time if she co-operates. The biggest name she gave was lawyer Alan Dershowitz (whose mental state was clearly in question during the impeachment). Epstein was charged w/serious crimes. She's charged w/shopping & going to the movies w/girls she could introduce to Epstein.

In other legal news, fixer Michael Cohen has to return to prison having been released for Covid compassion because he wouldn't agree not to talk to the media. What?

I think someone does not want Cohen's book to come out.

I think once the feds go over what Maxwell has if it is damaging to certain high level people, they will shut her up permanently like they did to Epstein to coverup the truth. It's an election year. Congressional members may have enjoyed Epstein's girls.

Interesting. IMO, Maxwell ran in much, much, much higher society like European & Saudi royalty than a few congressmen. They couldn't care less what anyone says they may have done in the 1990s or early 2000s & know this case is going nowhere. Barr, the DOJ, the Dept of Corrections, & the media are making a big show of how Maxwell is being "protected" after they bungled Epstein - both in the Miami when he could've been prosecuted aggressively & wasn't & NYC case years later.

I agree w/you that she should be out on bail after surrendering her 4 passports.

Maxwell was denied bail in a surreal Covid19 hearing - virtual appearances from 4 different locations by Maxwell, her attorney, the prosecutor, & the judge. Seems they're really squeezing her because the evidence to hold her - while convicted criminals serving sentences are getting early release or home detention due to age/health/Covid - is pretty weak. She offered to surrender her passports & post $5mm.

The most unusual thing is this is not being prosecuted by the general SDNY but the Public Corruption Unit which means that someone is/was a public official. Legal speculation is that it is the attorneys who handled Epstein's FL case & gave him a sweet deal - most likely Alex Acosta who became Trump's Labor Secretary & resigned when Epstein was arrested in NY & Acosta's light touch was noticed.

Is Acosta that big a deal? The fact that this 20 yr old case is still being pursued at all is odd.

Is it possible they’re digging for a much bigger fish? Like a certain president not named Clinton, Bush, Obama, or Carter who has known ties to Epstein and Ms. Maxwell? I wouldn’t put it past the current occupant of the White to have sex with underaged girls...

Since Maxwell isn't even a US citizen much less a public office holder, they want to use her to get to someone. Trump knew Epstein - no secret - & he's quoted as saying Epstein liked women as much as he did although Epstein liked them young. These minors in the indictment were 17 so we're not talking 13 yr olds. Trump had access to plenty of young women thru his beauty pageants.

But the AG is a different story. Turns out Barr & Epstein go back to the 1970s & there was that tricky firing/replacement of the US Atty right before Maxwell was arrested. Barr could be the public official they're after. What was he doing in 1997?

Former NM Gov Bill Richardson (D) was included in one of the victim's civil suits against Epstein. Maxwell's indictment specifically includes New Mexico as one of the places where crimes took place. Richardson definitely qualifies as a public office holder as a Congressman (1982-96), US Ambassador to the UN (1997-98), & Energy Secty (1998-2001). Richardson released a statement that he was assisting the investigation into Epstein.

Former Sen. Majority Leader George Mitchell (D-ME) is also mention in the civil suit against Epstein. He'd qualify as a public official both as a senator (through 1995) & the US Envoy for Northern Ireland (1995-2001).

At 86, Mitchell seems unlikely to warrant such a long, expensive, investigation & prosecution based on a case in which the principal (Epstein) is now dead. Richardson at 72 is a maybe but he has the most high profile career except Barr.

So, it turns out Maxwell is married. She had to admit that to prosecutors at her bail hearing. The identify of her husband, including nationality, & how long she's been married remains secret.

One House Republican's response to Trump sending well-wishes to Ghislaine Maxwell:

This is unacceptably obtuse for a woman accused of the most morally depraved of crimes, @realDonaldTrump.  She needs to be severely punished... and justice must be served for the girls she abused.  For ALL involved.

Another House Republican responds to Trump sending Ghislaine Maxwell well-wishes:

She is despicable and he needs to say that.

The end of the statement - which you omitted was point of the question - "and I don't know the situation w/Prince Andrew."

Alleged is the key word. Trump made a neutral (for him) statement about a woman he knew socially in the 1990s in Palm Beach & declared he knew nothing about Prince Andrew's sex life. So?

He said something equally bland about close friend & adviser Robert Kraft after his arrest for solicitation in Palm Beach - "Well, it’s very sad. I was very surprised to see it. He’s proclaimed his innocence totally, but I’m very surprised to see it."

Why is Trump even being bothered w/questions about British royals & sports team owners?

It's the company he keeps or has kept & also his storied lifestyle. Birds of a feather? Given Trump's morally clean background, it's not an overreach to ask the questions.

It's not news that he's a misogynistic womanizer. Aside from that, he was single & partying in the early 1990s. He'd bought Mar-a-Lago as his personal playground (kind of like Hefner since he couldn't get approval as a hotel). He surrounded himself w/powerful, wealthy men in sports & entertainment who have randy social lives. Trump has never denied his desire for beautiful women, gaining access to them by owning beauty pageants, or cheating on his wives. Howard Stern couldn't get enough of him as a guest. All pre-presidency.

As president, I understand the Robert Kraft question better because he is publicly known for being a Trump adviser on economic policy in addition to being a close friend. Maxwell? A Brit socialite he saw at parties 30 years ago?

Really, what do they think he's going to say? In the midst of a pandemic, racial unrest, a siege in Portland, & an election, he's being asked about Prince Andrew & some party girl? How is that relevant to anything going on in the US?

Given that she's not been charged w/nor convicted of either of those things, it's probably wise for Trump not to comment.

But he can't help himself. In spite of handlers, he knows best. That's why he's going to run away with the election in spite of what the failing New York Times says.

I thought it was obvious that I meant "comment further" & left it unsaid.

True, Martin, he simply can't shut up about anything even when it's in his best interest to do so. What surprises me is that he appears - appears at least - to have grasped that pretending the pandemic wasn't happening could cost him the election. I didn't watch the reinstatement of the Task Force update yesterday but even when he announced they would resume, he said it was because the ratings were the biggest, most fantastic ever on cable - as though cable TV was dying w/o his daily presence.

What's actually happening is that he can't put a rally together w/o sickening his advance team & the Secret Service & the RNC has limited the live audience for his coronation in Jacksonville in August to 7,000 so his direct line to voters is TV. He emphasized that it would be Covid19 advances "& other topics" & may or may not include anyone w/any scientific/medical knowledge & may or may not include questions. In other words, it's The Trump Show. It could backfire if he rambles on into gibberish or if a reporter asks him something unexpected.
