What I take from Obama and the Democrats is that they are fine with Americans dying in Jihadist terror attacks as long as they can continue to not do anything consequential about it.

What kind of miserable, disgusting, vile human being says this? Does the same putrid pile of crap actually believe "Obama and the Democrats" are "fine" with Americans dying?" I'm nauseated.

The same kind of miserable disgusting vile human being that says Republicans "Want to cause WWIII."

Do they fact check Hillary Clinton? There aren't enough hours in the day.

I think that they should fact check you. You make a ton of claims that have no basis in fact and then refuse to discuss them.

Your welcome to fact check me. It was the Democrat Bob Kerrey who back in the 90's called Hillary Clinton an unusually good liar. You can fact check that too if you want.

Yes they do. Here is how each of the candidates fare.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/13/opinion/campaign-stops/all-politicians-lie-some-lie-more-than-others.html?_r=0

Hillary tells the truth 51% of the time. Pretty bad, but that is better than any of the Republican candidates did. Only three Republican candidates (Bush, Paul, Christie) told the truth over 40% of the time, and none of them were over 50%.

Great. So let's go with the one who publicly lies half the time. At least she's better than the others.

You know it's funny, someone asks that every time I post a factcheck.org link. The answer is the same every time...OF COURSE. They fact check all the candidates, debates, etc. and I've posted the link several times now.

Here is the one for Hillary, again: http://www.factcheck.org/person/hillary-clinton/

Here is the link to the fact checking od the last Dem debate, in case you missed it: http://www.factcheck.org/2015/11/factchecking-the-second-democratic-debate/

It's not about the factchecking. Someone intimated something less than flattering about any member of the right wing and Doug responded instinctively in defense.

Maybe he feels marginalized.

I didn't realize Hillary was on the stage last night. This was a GOP Debate, but no post can prevent an entrance for Doug from injecting negative, angry, and bitter attitude lobbed at & taking swipes at the Clintons. I'm guessing it makes him feel really good?

I voted for Bill Clinton twice. I voted for Hillaryl Clinton for Senator twice just in case you think I am some kind of bitter Republican. I just get sick and tired of the one sidendness as if Democrats are all that is pure and noble in the world and Republicans are evil stupid trolls who get togwether to decide how best to harm the most people.

C'mon Doug, we already have Muleman to post drivel like this (see above - do you really want him as a fan?). This site is in desperate need of an intelligent conservative voice - maintain the role.

As for the debate, why did some Republican candidates choose to mention Obama at all? Isn't he irrelevant at this point? They aren't running against Obama - they are running against each other for the nominee, but they kept pointing out all of Obama's mistakes. Why? How does that help them?

Best line of the night actually came from Fiorina...Trump actually screamed that we shouldn't spend any money at all on foreign countries and instead invest it in the crumbling American infrastructure, and Carly pointed "Wow, that's exactly what Obama has been saying for 8 years - I'm surprised to hear that from a Republican candidate." Hahaha, brilliant.

[Edited on 12/17/2015 by BoytonBrother]

Of course he's not irrelevant. He's currently president and his policies and ideology are driving current conditions. Additionally the former Secretary of State who implemented his foreign policy is almost definitely the opponent. The current president is never irrelevant in any election.

And yet, you've never once had any issue with anything any Republican has ever said.

But, hey, keep up the lectures about hypocrisy, please. Always very entertaining and poignant.

They do!!! Did you not hear their "solutions" to ISIL? Carpet bombing? Wiping out the families of terrorist?

For God's sake man... actions have consequences. Everyone on that stage, that I heard, thinks more killing of Muslims, collateral damage be damned, will somehow end terrorism.

I'm pretty sure every Iraqi on the crap end of "Shock and Awe" considers the United States a terroristic nation.

I would say a good 40% of Republicans could be described that way and the other 60% of GOPers have to take the flack for the behavior and comments of the 40%. It's not fair and the only solution is for the GOP to simply splinter into two parties. The more middle of the road party would easily draw enough new members from independents and disillusioned Democrats to make up for the loss of the extremists. Then you would likely see more balance here.

If you look at recent polls of congressional approval ratings, as in congress as a whole and not categorized by partisan lines, the "approve of" rating is 13% meaning, in addition to be less "approved of" as cockroaches (true stat) at the end of the day NOBODY from either party likes ANY of these a$$holes.

Why don't we start the conversation there?

Nonetheless, I too thought your comments were a bit overdramatic.

Obama and the Democrats are fine with Americans dying in terrorist attacks - and I'm overly dramatic?

Ok then.

More than 1 person can be being overly dramatic at a time. I like too criticize the liberal population from time to time so people can see I'm unbiased. I can't comment on everything though.

Amen to that. Only 24 hours in a day! Grin

That number is too general and assumes equal incompetence and guilt. I don't think that's true if you look at other data like levels of truthfulness by party leaders and even the rank and file. If you go back and look at public statements for the Iran agreement by the different parties you will see that the Republicans continuously presented false data in an attempt to sway public opinion. We all know now that the same deception occurred with the Iraq war. Look at Hillary Clinton's approval numbers as Secretary of State and look at how they have nose dived with the repeated attacks on Benghazi by Republicans.

Republicans obstruct and obstruct and the only really productive thing they do is put out erroneous data to mess with the public mind. Muleman94's posts while extreme are pretty typical of the stuff coming out of Republican quarters.

Then you have all this nonsense today that the Democrats are being unfair.

So there is no real basis for any kind of civil discourse. The best action might just be to shut down the WP. There are plenty of comment sections out there for political commentary and there is no need to have this stuff on a music site.

Doesn't matter who you voted for; your posts are exceptionally negative and full of disdain for the Clintons in the present narrative. So the implication from you is that you post this way to create balance...got it. C'mon now. Nobody is going buy that. Do I think you're "some kind of bitter Republican"...no. I just think you're bitter period because that's the way you come off. Nothing wrong with that, but at least own it.

All I did was post the fact check on the debate, same as I did after the Dem debates, and your whiney reply was basically "what about Hillary, did you fact check her too?" Well, the Dems did not debate the night before and I made no reference to the Dems as pure and noble or anything else, so sorry but you sure do come off sounding like a bitter republican to me.

The WP doesn't need to be shut down. The WP needs better conversations.

For the most part, it's devolved into trollbait and old grudges that won't die (myself included).

Sometimes it's not what someone else posts, it's what one chooses to respond to. We should all probably keep that in mind.
