Were shot and killed today at point blank range, while they were having lunch in their patrol car in Brooklyn. They were murdered at about 2:47 p.m. outside 98 Tompkins Ave., both in full uniform while sitting in their patrol car. Ramos was in the drivers seat and Liu was in the front seat beside him. After Brinsley shot the cops he went into a subway station, where he was followed by other officers who had arrived on the scene. He shot himself. Brinsley cited the Garner case and posted the following as his reasons for coming up here and shooting the officers.
"The suspect, Ismaaiyl Brinsley, wrote on an Instagram account: "I'm putting wings on pigs today. They take 1 of ours, let's take 2 of theirs," officials said. He used the hashtags Shootthepolice RIPEricGardner (sic) RIPMikeBrown. " . He posted more disturbing messages as he headed north to New York City. He may have had associations with East Flatbush, Brooklyn, Bratton said. He used the hashtag #ShootThePolice, along with two other hashtags referencing Garner and Brown.
He had addresses in Georgia and Brooklyn. Just last week cops began signing a “Don’t Insult My Sacrifice” waiver, distributed by the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, that warned the mayor and speaker to stay away from funerals of cops killed in the line of duty.
Brinsley has a criminal record dating back to at least 2006, when he was arrested in Georgia for carrying a concealed weapon, a knife, as well as shoplifting, according to online records. The next year he was nabbed in Dekalb County., Ga., for criminal trespass, and by 2009, he was indicted in Ohio for robbery — a charge that was later apparently dismissed. In 2011, the shooter was arrested again in Georgia for reckless conduct, tampering with evidence, criminal property damage, and discharging his weapon. The outcome of the case is unknown.

What bothers me is that protest, I saw one of the videos where many people were marching thru the streets of NYC chanting "what do we want, dead cops, when do we want it, now". And DeBlasio not only said nothing about it, but continued to let them protest on nights after that.

They were advocating cops to be murdered. Even at the Louis J. Pink Houses housing project, protesters put up Wanted posters of the officer who shot Akai Gurley. (yes I know that is another thread). The point is, the protesters think they can do whatever they want.
The only thing that can happen is they continue and violence gets worse, the National Guard may have to come and restore order to the city when the riots start, and I believe they will, just a matter of time.
Mayor DeBlasio asked the protesters to wait until after the funerals of Officers Ramos and Liu, the protesters did not even have respect for the dead of families, they are still out there. How shameful it is; but even that, it is about to get worse. There has been another shooting outside Ferguson Missouri, and this will be like a blow torch to the NYC movement which has capitalized and motivated their protesters. More later.

Two wrongs never make a right. The Michael O.D. The funeral for Rafael Ramos was held Saturday 12/27, Officer Wenjian Liu's final arrangements have not been finalized yet, they are awaiting relatives to arrive from China. The makeshift memorial on Tompkins Street in the Bedford Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn where they were shot will remain until after Officer Liu's funeral. The street is cordoned off and protected by police barricades. While the protesters did not come near the church or cemetery (thankfully) they went to the Louis J. Pink Houses to protest the accidental death of Akai Gurley and will continue that as well as their Monday night 7 pm protests at Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan and other places in the city.
NY Governor Cuomo and others, former Mayor Rudy Guiliani were in attendance at Officer Ramos's funeral and they coordinated the Tunnels 2 Towers organization to help pay off the Officer's mortgages. The organization needs $800,000, they have raised over $100,000 so far and would like to complete this by New Year's Day.
At the funeral at the church, when NYC Mayor Bill DeBlasio spoke, many officers turned their backs in silent protest. NYPD Commissioner Bratton tries to deflect the divide, but even former Mayor Rudolph Guiliani (the Mayor during 9/11) said: “You put Al Sharpton next to you, you just told everyone: ‘I’m against the police,'” Giuliani said on “Face the Nation.”
P.O. Rafael Ramos was going to receive his position as being the NYPD Chaplain for hs precinct on the day he was murdered. He was appointed to the position posthumously at his funeral. The out of town officiers (Jet Blue flew in 730 from other precincts around the country) promise to return for Officer Liu's funeral. In a city so vigilant against terror attacks, people are taken aback at how can somebody just come and shoot police officers, and then think he could just walk away and take a subway to someplace else. Nobody should go to work and come home dead.

All major polls show that 62 to 65% of all Americans believe race relations have gotten worse during Obama’s tenure in office.
And the police officers still go to work every day in the black communities to try and keep order and protect and save black lives. Then they are murdered after Sharpton and his militants march and call “What do we want, Dead Cops”!
Why do you think thousands of police officers turned their backs on de Blasio at Officer Ramos’s funeral today?

The statements so often made by Obama, Holder, de Blasio and Sharpton are what they are.
If you are unaware of their statements and the facts involving black crime I suggest you put down the left-wing opinion rags (formally known as newspapers) and learn how to research actual data and facts.
It is the liberals who play the identity politics of race, gender, sexuality and economic status.
The liberals use these to divide the people, pit one group against the others and solicit votes.
This is where so many books and articles accurately describe Obama as the divider and chief.
Yet another reason so many American citizens have dumped the Democrats and elected Republicans.
The Democrats claim to be the black people’s party but simply use them as means to a political end. This is a major reason that after 50 years there are more black people in poverty and the black crime rate is so alarming.
Black people are being murdered, 92% by other black people and the liberals won’t even speak of the matter. I guess because it is just easier to blame white people and police brutality. Of course that doesn’t help the black people.
It is difficult to solve a problem when some won’t recognize or admit the problem.

Ignorance is bliss.
You must be a very happy person all the while black people are being killed, mostly by other black people, living in abject poverty and wondering who their father is.
