Was wondering about this Continental Army Airport thing so went to youtube. Just watched my first Trump speech ever. Turns out it was the July 4 2017 speech. It is the last ten minutes I will ever waste listening to this guy.
I think it was Trump-tastic. He did quite a bit of digging to get into the entire history of the country, the last 235 years. I liked his recounting George Washington's advice to the men as they had to fight in NYC, "till conquest or death" before they took down King George's statue and then melted the metal, making it into bullets. Today he would have been considered "an extremist", like the Muslims who believe "till victory or martyrdom", same passion, different issues, different wars.
Washington told his men they had to fight for the millions of people who were not even born yet so that they could live in a free nation. Who knew all these things about the founding fathers of America. That was a lot of sacrifice, we should not forget that, even though there are those that want to put us in the grips of their new world, one world order. People died so that you do not have to live in subjugation.
The only thing I think wasn't great was the chorus that sung in between the displays of the plane weaponry. They had accents and did not sound like they had a good command of English.
Trump put a lot into the celebration, and he gave America more than it has gotten from any other President for 4th of July celebrations.

As I said different issues, different war. Also the concept of freedom means different things to different people. Some people think that freedom means following secular law because it changes based on the desires of the people so if you get a big enough group/following you can changes laws to suit your desires. God's laws do not change, but there is freedom in that evil gets dealt with in a consistent way. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to sleep with your windows open at night and just enjoy the breeze? In a land living under God's laws you could. In a land under secular law, nope, people can come and rob or rape you while you hope you can call 911 and wait for help, who will file a report and IF they catch the person, it still has to be proven they did anything. All of the crimes, crap, violence that exist under secular law do not exist when God's law is in place because the would be perps KNOW they will be punished so they don't do anything. In lawless Afghanistan, Mullah Omar had said when they were in power you did not have to lock your car, you could leave a bag of gold on the seat and nobody would try to steal it, because if they did, they would be found, and punished.
Is it freedom to have to look over your shoulder, carry a knife and pepper spray on the subway, make sure your new car has a car alarm to deter the thieves who would love to steal it and send it to the chop shop to profit off it etc. etc. Is that freedom? As I have done every year since I was a kid, I got up early, packed a wagon and took my mom, daughter and 2 grandsons and walked down to the local parade in Laporte's hey dey in the 70's, we had great Parade Martials, Clayton Moore, Ernie Banks etc. Industry has faded here and we are not as prosperous, but we keep on keepin! Flyover was 2 Wart (War) Hogs?,the ones with the split tail. I often bash the the town as hick, I deal with folks in my neighborhood who use their Confederate Flags as window curtains, but I had TREMENDOUS pride this day, thousands of men, women and children waving Flags, a few to many wearingthe Flag as clothing, people rabidly supporting America, I was seated in front of a big tank, with a huge gun on one end and a bulldozer on the other. But You know what I did not see, Not one MAGA hat, not one mention by anyone of Trumpty!!! So glad, as I would have left.
