This might be the dumbest statement I've read here, and that is saying something. Clearly written by someone who has never been to Europe (which is incredibly diverse and whose cities can't be easily summarized), and compensates for something with a gas guzzling SUV. Also, if you live in an urban area with great public transportation (both within and to other cities) you don't need even a scooter.

I'm sure many Europeans wish they were saddled with burdensome student loans and medical bills.

He just revealed that HE is unhappy because his small home and car are tough to afford because he was never able to advance himself in his career. Why else would that enter his mind?
