Thank president covid and his enablers.
I think an equal shout out goes to the tens of thousands of people who deemed marching in the streets in protest more important than stopping this killer!
Oh Pish Posh, how condescending! Well I never!

This bad flare up was getting underway even before some of the most important protests of my lifetime, the protests for the police murder of George Floyd began. I was born in '63 and these protests are quite the most important societal movements in my life, I remember washing cars for McGovern in '72.
The situation You are seeing now is due to the fact that none of the states met any of guidelines to safely move forward, before going ahead and moving forward. WTF..................better Coverdown the best You can
Close contact crowds obviously pose a huge risk, outside helps I guess?

Do you have any stats on protest-fueled COVID flare ups? Because there are more cases brewing in packed Florida restaurants right now. But keep restating that one point you have, maybe it will stick.
Can we begin an advisory panel for the Trump Reelection Committee? We advise on locations for the next series of rallies. I'm thinking Arizona, Texas, and Florida are good starting points. Like Tulsa, Oklahoma - a rally should only be held in states and cities when & where numbers are rising.
If we can find controversial days on the calendar to coincide, that would even be better.

Not likely. The rise we're seeing now is the result of reopening without any real plans of how to do it safely. Look at the states with sharp increases, a lot of Southeastern coastal states where idiots started flocking to the beaches.
I'd be naive if I said I didn't think their could a handful of people contracting or spreading the virus at these large gatherings but to attribute the latest spikes in cases to protests is purely speculation from an angry member of the playground liberation front. As is usually the case, while trying to point out everyone elses hypocrisy he is just magnifying his own density.

While we do have an abundance of idiots, most of the flocking beachgoers are imported.

I too live in one of the Southeastern beach destination states, I see a good bit of both here. Local college bro idiots and imported college bro's. I was in downton Raleigh a couple nights ago, lots of packed outdoor seating at bars and restaurants.

I will thanks!...And you keep referencing that somehow a difficult situation makes it OK for protesters to gather in the streets in close proximity and march all while talking out of the other side of your mouth about the dangers of Covid19...
We each have a conscious choice as adults to either look down upon the protestors for whatever reason we choose, or we can be empathetic and understanding of a complex situation. We should all be proud of whichever path we take. The Trump supporters seem to have a tough time being proud of their path, hence their defensive insecure language.
Thanks for your .02 Boynton Brother!...I will let the administrators know you've returned yet again under a completely new name ......

Oh, so we did discuss it now? Pick one already. You continue to cherry pick whatever suits your straw argument of the moment. Bizarre that you can't parse two separate issues at once and choose to misrepresent both of them.

"Chill a bit"?..Coming from the guy who has used almost every epithet known to man when criticizing the President?....please
I consider my language ahhhhhh, "colorful"............?

Too funny and right back at ya. Either Covid19 kills regardless of the scenario,.. protests, graduations, concerts or it does not. You can't argue stats or throw out the argument that to be against the rallys means you don't believe in the right to protest, while shaking your head and wondering why the infection rate is "About to blow Sky ****ing high"....Why is that so hared to comprehend?
I guess many forgot about the studies that show speaking loudly, yelling, and even singing broadcasts the virus more widely.
Place a large group together, chanting and yelling, many not wearing masks, carrying children on their shoulders, and see if the rate of infection doesn't go up.
Houston County has had a 2% increase since the protests started. Then again, we went out to a restaurant last Thursday, first since the lock-down started, and several days later the place was closed due to a positive test of an employee.
I have ordered some more masks, bought another box of gloves, still have plenty of hand sanitizer, but will buy more if the price is right.
Need to re-stock canned goods now.
Surprisingly Minneapolis has not had a bump in cases
Why?
People were wearing masks
They were outside
I don’t think a bump was reported after demonstrations outside various state capitals either
And Btw no one ever said it was cool to protest without social distancing. All of the public health talking heads and many internet news sites also had info and warnings about protesting
Like I said, "see if the rate of infection doesn't go up".
What is the incubation period of Covid-19?

it’s because of your 3rd grade writing level gibberish, based on manufactured stories in your head. On top of that, you struggle to make a point, all while going to bizarre lengths to hint and suggest. That’s why you are hard to comprehend. Ya dig?
That did not take long!..Why not step out of the shadows Boynton Brother?.....Why the subterfuge?
"Chill a bit"?..Coming from the guy who has used almost every epithet known to man when criticizing the President?....please
He uses epithets towards the President in response to the President’s daily epithets towards Americans, while you and cyclone are melting over a screen name on the Allman Brothers website....but go ahead and compare the two if it makes you feel better. We’ll all gladly watch and enjoy the show.
You have not changed or grown in the least Boynton Brother, I would expect nothing else.
The states that are seeing increasing numbers did not look at the models. They were supposed to start much later than the east. But they just looked at our misery and felt good they seemingly were not getting it.
They will get it, there still are not enough ventilators, PPE etc. NY has balls, we had celebrities use their connections to get what we needed. How many of their Dr.'s even know that using a Hyperbaric oxygen chamber is a better way to get the oxygen saturation needed or any of the other new techniques used here, in Virginia, Atlanta and Washington state?
In short their victims are effed- and will die.
Goodness, what times these are 🙁 . First of all if Your State is green on the map Big Time Congrats! NY, CN, NJ Big 3! Here In Indiana we is green, i am severely asthmatic, i don't want this sh!t, keep laying low!! Red/hot States, You absolutely gotta lay up in Your houses for 3 weeks! I see more and more red squeezing out the green on the map, anybody live in one of the hot states that have been put on 14 quarantine if visiting the NE?? How You feel about that??............joe
Am reading that Covid cases are continuing to skyrocket
That tells me that 3 months of a complete lockdown did nothing
My dad used to get sick from an allergy called hay fever - knocked him for a loop
Many people also get ill from the release of pollen in the air every spring
Both were seasonal things that passed
Covid-19 apparently isn’t - is the testing process monitored regularly? Could they be picking up symptoms of other maladies that cause tests that should be negative, positive? Is The Testing System Flawed?
So what happens now?
America is closed for business, having learned nothing from March-present
Let’s just not put her up for auction to the highest bidder, ie outside govts w/unAmerican ideas
That’s where we’re headed imho

Not sure what to do? Isolation, masks and distancing all work, take a look at New York State's curve, went up and came all the way back down, the Nation as a whole has gone up and stayed up, why? You gotta be committed I think? And I don't believe that most of us were?? Now what?..........self preservation I guess.......joe

How on Earth did you reach that conclusion?
We were never once on a complete nationwide lockdown. Not even close.

Some states late to close and early to open.
Too many people thinking this is not that big a deal comparing it to the flu or believing it has been overstated. Too many people thinking it impairs their rights. Too many people thinking they are beyond catching this.
Too many people in denial by listening to a leader who hasn't led on this and who dragged on initial response and also basically saw this as a states' issue and dangled funds & PPE.
I'm afraid it gets worse before it gets better.
The stats speak for themselves. No amount of denials nor rhetoric can overcome the metrics. Unlike the president, you can't wish this away or wake up one morning and it will be gone.
High school, colleges, businesses, restaurants
Stuff like Broadway shows, college/pro sports, much-anticipated annual events, everywhere
The impact was huge around where I live, it took/is still taking a lot of adapting
May not have been as much so elsewhere, I certainly never read anything to that effect tho
Mayb “massive changes” instead of “complete lockdown” is the better way to put it - the effort was not negligible tho
If it was that, an effort that was “not even close” to a full-measure response, I only shudder to think of what further ones might entail

We didn't lockdown as Italy, China, or even Spain.
But, I digress.

Let's discuss "nothing."
Case ramped up, things got shutdown, the cases declined, open back up, cases back up.
So, the clear decline in cases was...nothing?
Every region had different responses to different infection rates at different times. Now we are seeing different attempts at reopening based on those responses. In some places it appears to be working, others not as much.
A friend of mine in Phoenix needs surgery on a condition affecting her lungs is moving to Atlanta because Arizona is currently getting slammed with cases and can't schedule her soon enough or guarantee a safe hospital for recovery.
