My picks for this weekend. Again, don't bet the house on this as they are for entertainment purposes only. Grin

Iowa / Northwestern: I think you actually could bet the house on this one. Take Iowa and give the points. Northwestern's offense is abysmal.

Ohio State / Wisconsin: Wisconsin getting 14 against Ohio State. It's easy to say this but I do think Wisconsin overlooked Illinois last week. Still don't know how you can lose to them but whatever. I will take the points.

Penn State / Michigan State: I think Penn St should mop up Michigan State. MSU went from being ranked to not even getting votes in the rankings. Lay the five.

LSU / Auburn: 10.5 seems like a lot and I guess will bite on a sucker's bet. I think Auburn should be able to cover.

Michigan / Notre Dame: ND should destroy Michigan I am sad to say. It's a pick 'em, one point either way but ND is way better than Michigan and I don't really like Patterson for Michigan.

Arizona State / UCLA: The Bruins seem to be a mess, kind of like USC. Lay the four points.

I normally do not like betting against home underdogs but I picked a few this week. And I don't like to go against my Michigan teams but that is just how I like them.

Hopefully I get home from the Northwestern game in time to watch Michigan even if I think they are going to lose.

K-State was a great upset

Loved this past weekend, my favorite of the season for sure. Lots of upsets which always makes things great for me. Hit 4 of 6 money lines, but man oh man, Tulsa breaks my heart for the second time this year. Lined up for the game winning, time expiring FG over Memphis and kid shanks it. Ugh....a few weeks back Tulsa led SMU 30-9 entering the 4th Q yet lost in 3 OT with multiple opportunities to put the game away or win in OT.

SMU is at Memphis this week as a ABC primetime game. I can't help but think that Tulsa should've beat both those teams, but you have to close the deal.

I also have a Tulsa over 4.5 regular season win total, those two that got away are going to haunt me.

The over in any game with UMass is always good too, along with a side bet against them too.

I sure hope folks jumped on this suggestion, been a double winner every time since (and virtually the entire season). UMass cannot stop anyone and they can score some too which only helps.

This week Liberty gets the honor of pounding them.

Go Gators! Bruins win their third in a row tonight. Crazy thing is UCLA (as do some other teams in the Pac12) controls its own destiny. If it wins out, the Bruins are playing in the Rose Bowl on 1/1/20. Who'd have thought that three weeks ago...

That being said, I'm not making any plans for 1/1. GO BRUINS! SKIN THE BUFFS!

Counting them eggs before they hatch on the Bruins? They opened gang busters 17-0, then lost the rhythm and let Colorado have some life. Looked like CU didn't want to be there tonight, Bruins up 3 scores before Buffs had a first down!

Bizzaro world...Oregon State controls their destiny in the North (only team who could derail the Ducks).

That's pretty cool. Not exactly the jam band kind of guys. Some of those groups I have never heard of. Who the hell is Frankie Beverly?

At least a few chose Springsteen. Grin

There were some exciting games. I had an option of going out to meet some of my wife' s friends. I bowed out and glad I did. The late games were very entertaining.

Did really well. The games from 2:30 PM on I got every one of them correct. Grin My only hiccup of the day was a parlay with Michigan and Nebraska. Nebraska blew that one for me. Losing to Purdue. 🙁

Won the SMU / Memphis game by the hook. I never win on that.

My three big ones were:

Utah / Washington That was really exciting. I was worried most of the game.

Georgia / Florida. I didn't get why Florida was getting almost a touchdown at home but I jumped on it anyway and glad I did.

Indiana / Northwestern. That was a gimme. Northwestern is SO bad.

Also took Oregon. I think it is time for USC to get a new coach. Why anyone would want to step into that mess is anyone's guess.

Now to lose all my winnings back today on the NFL. 😛

At least we get a morning game!

Double cha-ching again. Grin

Over/Under was 70. Score at half, 49-14. And actually, they've given up 56 in the first hald this year too.

Sang, another good week in the pick'em. Just when I thought I was gaining on you. Nice year. Your're making it hard on us to catch you. Still 5 weeks to go!

I know some people that are riding the UMass fade and over train Coot. I've never been that type of player. I enjoy trying to find which teams to play as much as actually winning them so it kinda takes the point away for me. You think Army will have enough possessions to go over this week (62)? If they don't break big runs there could be lots of clock killing Army drives.

Army - Air Force was exciting game last week. Army was knocking on the door at the end but couldn't score on 4 plays from inside the 5 (3 passes). AF can't win CIC though, so it will all come down to Army - Navy to see if Army can keep it or not.

Playoff committee ranking came out. I never thought I would hate that process as much as I do. Means nothing to me. I'm just done caring about the beauty show, the "eye test", people hand picking the teams they like. Take whatever playoff to a conference champions only eligible model and remove the subjectiveness once and for all.

Some pretty good games this week though huh?

LSU - Bama

Penn St - Minnesota

Baylor - TCU (TCU QB situation is a wreck)

Louisville - Miami (fun to see LV good again, can this Miami team come down off the FSU win?)

Illinois - Michigan State (don't look now, but Illinois is playing for a bowl birth! and Michigan St is just one of the most disappointing teams in the country, that's all)

Wake Forest - Virginia Tech (Wake the best team nobody is talking about, Hokies down but if WF is looking ahead to Clemson could mean trouble)

Kansas St - Texas (can K St keep the momentum wave going vs an underachieving and beat up Texas team?)

North Texas - LaTech (this will be a fun one)

Iowa - Wisconsin (B1G West elimination game...will Iowa have enough O to hang?)

FIU - FAU (yep Lane Kiffin is still at FAU, not quite as good as they were year 1 when he arrived...FIU surprisingly is struggling this year but shouldn't be)

App St - South Carolina (App St has already knocked off one P5 Carolina team on the road, can they do it again - losing to GaSo last week takes some luster off of them)

Clemson - NC St (remember when NC St used to give Clemson good games?)

Notre Dame - Duke (would love to see Duke win this one ~ ND had 200 more yards than VT last week and nearly lost)

Tennessee - Kentucky (means a lot for both team's seasons to get this win)

Iowa St - Oklahoma (possible for OU to lose 2 straight? ISU hasn't been as good as some people have hoped, but still quality team)

San Jose St - Hawaii (this is what I really love about college football, has anyone been paying attention to San Jose State this year? They are on the verge of turning the corner)

I guess if I find a winning pony, I'll continue to ride it until it throws a shoe. 😉

I'll still play the over this week, UMass will score some and they can't stop anyone. You'd think maybe a result like Navy/Connecticut might be coming, 56-10. Teams that don't often see the triple option rarely stop it, particularly when they're no better than a UConn or a UMass. I'll likely be on Army too despite that really big number.

Right now, leaning toward Penn St and LSU also. As long as Wisconsin beats Iowa, and needs to continue winning to have a shot at the Big 10 title game, I'll anxiously anticipate the spread against the Huskers. If Minnesota could push NE all over the field, Wisconsin will hammer the Huskers, imo.

Cha-Ching and cha-Ching yet again. Army hangs 63 on them. Grin

Chances Clemson covers 32 vs WF this week? Best O Clemson has seen all year. WF D is quite soft however.

Georgia's O limits their potential but by all means I would not write them off.

A lot of people are picking Auburn this week, I am undecided.

Should it be UGA and LSU in Atlanta I give Dawgs a shot. Ever the optimist for upsets, that's me.

You are correct nebesh. Georgia O way to predictable. Makes defenses easy to scheme for.
