I thought Jack Welch pegged it pretty good. He said the current administration's idea of governing is to serve friends, cronies, donors, and pet groups first and to hell with everybody else. To them, that is what it means to govern and the nation at large suffers as a result. That's what you get with Democrats.

He advocated for a "meritocracy," where qualifications and talent are more important than friendship, and doing what's best for the entire organization is paramount. Exactly how an effective business would operate.

I was also pleased that he agreed with me when he said the GOP must "investigate outside of the center" when choosing a candidate. He mentioned Rand Paul and Ted Cruz by name. If you can't get your base excited, you don't have a prayer. Exactly right.

Now, attacks on Jack Welch in 3...2...1

[Edited on 11/1/2014 by alloak41]

As if such truths aren't the case in both major political parties. They both serve cronies, friends, donors, etc. Jack should know as GE certainly hedged its bet by buying both Democrats and Republicans before, during, and after his tenure as head of one of the largest and most profitable and least tax liable companies in the United States.

How exactly do you think they pay little to no taxes on their billions in annual profits? From buying only Democrats? Please....

Hmmm...The second paragraph of my post seems to be invisible.

maybe you got hacked by the same secret gov't agency as Sharyl Attkisson

That's a very interesting story. The government planting spyware on the computer of a reporter. I believe her team of experts is about to zero in on who is responsible. When that story breaks, it will be huge.

Wow, what a load of crap.

Chris Christie is not the “most talked about Presidential Candidate. Nor is he even a candidate. Note liberals, there are no candidates for president in 2016 in either party.

“Self Destructing”
A typical demeaning label applied by the party of race hustling, nation dividing liars who have proven themselves incapable of governing.

“Based on the Conservatives here refusal to even speculate”
Nice try. Baiting the hook so that the liberals can attack some ones opinion. With no candidate the liberals can defend, support or name any accomplishment of, they do what they always do and attack someone else.

Chris Christie was elected by the people of New Jersey to clean up the corruption and gross mis-management by the democrat governor Corzine.
Corzine was investigated by the SEC for securities fraud and referred to the justice department for prosecution. Holder “declined to prosecute the democrat.

Gov. Christie has been able to get a grip on the states massive debt even with an opposition legislature.
He survived the fictitious “Bridgegate” yet Holder is still “investigating” after Christie was cleared.

No one with a working understanding of politics would responsible speculate on the 2016 election. The liberals do because that is what they do, attack and try to destroy people.
Mush like the current campaign when they run lynching, Ferguson, Treyvon impeachment ads trying to gin up their ghetto black vote.
Notice all the black people rebuffing the democrats for using them solely for political gain?

The democrats are even running ads saying “womens health rights are under attack” from the GOP. Utter lies. Of course they never mention the life of the babies they want killed.

Next Tuesday the GOP will take over the Senate. The GOP already has the majority in The House and most state Governorships and legislatures.

The American People reject the incompetence, corruption and lies of democrats.

And yet Obama won 2 terms and Hillary should coast to 8 years in the Presidency as the GOP has nobody on the horizon with a prayer to beat her. If Christi can;t keep his cool when confronted at a small local gathering imagine how he will do in a Presidential race when he really starts getting challenged on his campaign platform.

More an more it looking like Romney may be the GOP's best hope. It will be like shooting fish in a barrel for Hillary with Bubba leading her campaign.

____________________________________________________

The American People reject Obama's policies specifically and the democrats in general and will say so loud in clear on Tuesday.

No resume Hillary hasn't a chance in hell, especially after the utter failure of the current failure Obama.

LOL so Obama fooled the American Public into re-electing him for a second term? that sneaky SOB.

You enjoy winning a minor battle with the midterm elections Mule and us liberal will sit back and savor winning the war when Hillary and Bubba are back in the White House. The White House is where the power is something you will never be able to grasp.

Considering none of the conservatives on this forum seems to be able to even tell us who might have a slim chance of beating Hillary with just 2 years to go until the 2016 Presidential elections I like our chances even better than the last two when the GOP actually had decent candidates in McCann and Romney running against an unknown Democratic an Afro-American Senator.

Think about what I just said for a minute. Legitimate GOP candidates beaten by a Afro- American unknown candidate. LOL, Yeah Hillary is going to lose with one of most popular Democratic Presidents in recent memory as her consigliere helping to run her campaign.

Why is it so hard for conservatives to even offer an opinion on who would be a good GOP candidate in 2016? Answer= because there is nobody. Grin

Hillary lost to an unknown Afro-American in 2008 despite slick willie. what's changed? an unknown republican could beat her.

Chris Christie getting’ the job done.

Governor Christie, chairman of the Republican Governors Association, was instrumental in getting democrat governors in very blues states (including Illinois, Maryland and Massachusetts) ousted and Republicans elected Governor.

What if the Republicans run a younger black female?

That's funny. Using "What if the Republicans" and "run a younger black female" in the same sentence is an oxymoron. This concept is one of the least probable things any of us will ever see in our lifetimes.

You haven't answered my question as to why you would think that, but I'll give you something to think about.

As I mentioned in a prior post, there are always exceptions, but I'll stick with my previous statement that most of us will not see a black female run as a GOP nominee for President.

First off the party's initiatives towards blacks & females is certainly not one that courts the vote of minorities & women. You can go look at the answer & links I provided to you in response to your question in another thread. That should provide some backup. Look at the lag in votes that the GOP received in the last two presidential elections. They lost the female vote, badly lost single female vote, and terribly lost the black vote. Of course there are those who would argue that it was due to the GOP candidates, but I think it goes more to platform & ideology.

Extrapolating the above. For the most part, the GOP is comprised of conservative white males. Oh yes...there are exceptions. But look at the makeup of state legislatures and the US Congress. For the most part, the GOP House and Senate is a homogenous group. There ideology is slow to move and late to the table for an evolving society.

It is my opinion that we are years & years away before the GOP runs a black female for President. Do you think the good ole boy GOP would go that route? The GOP is still fighting social issues, suppressing vote, & fighting gay marriage. IMHO, it will take more of an open mindset for this to become a reality. I would much more expect that of the Dems, which are more liberal & diverse in makeup.

So, I'm going to throw you back a question. Do you believe that the GOP will run a black female for President in the next...let's say 25 years? Please provide your reasoning for your answer either way - yes or no.

What a load of crap. Right out of the democrats talking points. Your understanding of reality is vacant.
No wonder you liberals lost you a$$ yesterday.

BTW - who is the democrats black female nominee?
You tried a female in 2008 and Hillary was dumped by her own party.
