CBD Works Better With a Little THC
A study conducted at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco found that combining THC and CBD produces more potent anti-tumor effects when tested on brain cancer and breast cancer cell lines than either compound alone.
A 2010 study found that patients with intractable cancer-related pain tolerated medicines that combined THC and CBD notably better than a pure THC extract.
A 2012 study in the Journal of Psychopharmacology found that CBD “inhibits THC-elicited paranoid symptoms and hippocampal-dependent memory impairment”

We are seeing the beginning of a whole new class of medicines.
Interesting science for sure. More and more cannabis is proving its effectiveness at treating numerous ailments. While very promising, I can't help but wonder where we'd be with the use of cannabis today had we actually began rigorous and well funded research decades ago rather than instituted the prohibition of even basic scientific research by all manner of public and private institutions.
After repressing it for nearly a century they blew their chance to monopolize it on the gound floor. The second Big Pharma figures out how to get in on it it will be legal Federal overnight.
It is good that medical cannabis developed outside the corporate pharmaceutical industry - the first thing they will do is try to synthesize it or mix it with a bunch of sh!t so it kills you as bad as the sh!t they are pushing.
The alternate cannabis industry has already taught consumers the value of clean product, so Big Pharma is going to have a tough time getting its hooks in. Great example of positive market force.
Yeah.....most things do work a little better with THC.
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,
Some doctors concluded from a study that THC might actually prevent cancer cells from spreading in the body.

Good points....I should say that one of the reasons the medicinal cannabis system in New York state is a complete and utter clusterf*ck is precisely because of certain connected interests being awarded the very limited amount of licenses when it rolled out. Five total in the entire state of New York!!!
As New York debates a recreational system, the same thing seems to be happening. As of this moment in time recreational cannabis legislation has stalled in New York and what has been proposed thus far DOES NOT include the home grow option. Me and I'm sure most everyone else feels that without the ability to grow small amounts on your own, adults 21 and over will have no other legal option but to purchase overly priced and taxed cannabis from very connected corporate entities or very connected political contributors.
In addition, it's the county and city district attorneys and law enforcement individuals who have basically stalled the effort. They say it's a matter of "public safety" but anyone who knows of the process with which county, city, town and village courts fund themselves and the apparatus, knows it's about losing revenue. Same for the police departments....
In the end, at least in New York state , it's about money. Who stands to lose it and who stands to gain it. It's not about ending an utterly failed, corrupt, and ineffective war.
