The American Revolution, for one. America kicking England's *ss and creating this completely weird and unique bubble of democracy in a world that had never seen anything remotely like it before? That's what I mean, just when we all think we know how this thing ticks, it surprises us. We take it for granted, but this has only lasted just over 200 years, that is no time at all in the endless millenia of tyranny. I've certainly enjoyed the ride. America rocks. Happy 4th my friends!
