I don't know enough about the game of politics to know if this is even feasible. But I would love to see it.

I will vote for Bernie. I will NOT vote for Hillary or Trump in any situation or ticket. If Bernie were to jump in bed with Hillary, I would lose all the respect that I have for him. No Bernie? Give me the Libertarian

Not likely. She'll probably make a more traditional choice: someone who comes from a swing state she might not otherwise carry, someone who's positions generally align with hers, someone who when elected will accept the role of supporting her when needed and staying out of sight when not needed. I don't think Bernie is that person.

Clinton's obvious veep choice is Elizabeth Warren, IMO.

I'm not sure she goes that direction. It would certainly appease many of Bernie's followers (many who are independent), and she's already proven she's good at pissing off Donald. Her better value may be staying in the Senate.

My guess all along has been Sherrod Brown of Ohio. He's also a progressive, can sure up swing state Ohio, and may appeal to a broader base of Dems then Warren.

Whoever she picks, he/she will need to be squeaky clean and have or at least engender a high favorability rating to counterbalance her negative marks in those two arenas.

I don't see why not -- for all their campaign bombast they're largely on the same page --
Bernie's getting on in years, yet would be in on all the action without all the pressure/stress of the Oval Office -- he'd be in the same role Dick Cheney, then Joe Biden were/are in -- that reassuring 'grandfatherly' presence in the VP's chair

If I had to bet today my money would be on Tim Kaine.

If Hillary survives the FBI investigation, she will need a "good guy" from a swing state to help counter-balance
all of her justly deserved negatives. My guess would be Sherrod Brown of Ohio or Tim Kaine of Virginia. Brown is the more liberal of the two and would probably get more support from the hard left of the Democrat Party. Both are actually pretty good guys and neither would compete with Hillary for media time like Sen. Warren would.

I frankly can't believe that both major parties have sunk this low.

🙁

I will never vote for shrillary.

I will write in Bernie's name.

Warren won't be her VP choice, I thought she'd already said she isn't interested.

Warren & Bernie can do much more good right where they are in Congress.

Dont waste your vote. Cast a ballot for Trump and at least he can work on some huge problems like our illegal immigration problem. Working in the farm industry, this might help create a level playing field for the little guy.

Translation: Opening up jobs for white Americans who are more than willing and happy to go work in the fields for extremely low pay.

To clarify - The thinking or theory is that Warren might appeal more to the Bernie independent voters than Brown would. Although both Warren and Brown are Dems, she's a bit further left than he is. Thus the statement of Brown's appeal to a broader base and more centrist wing of Dems. Maybe correct here...maybe not...but that's the rationalization.

In the end, I like them both & think both would be good choices.

I hope Elizabeth Warren stays in the Senate along with Bernie. For several reasons they may in fact be the two most powerful Senators in the Senate if the Republicans lose control in November.

While I'd hate to lose her as our federal senator, I'm hoping Kirsten Gillabrand may be offered the VP slot. She'd be an excellent choice in my opinion. She's smart, has proven successful at working with Senators from both sides of the aisle, (for example her efforts at reforming Sexual assault procedures in the military and rescheduling marijuana at the federal level) and could prove very helpful steering legislation through not only the Senate, but also the House. In addition, she's a moderate Democrat.

It's a good thing that the leader of the conservatives this cycle doesn't lie. It is even more impressive that he doesn't dabble in conspiracy theories. You should be proud of the GOP candidate in representing your conservative values, alloak.

Right off of Donnie's Twitter Post... "Nobody has more respect for women than Donald Trump!"

No comments on Warren? A one percenter who loves to rail on income disparity, and trashes others for speculating on real estate when she was out flipping foreclosures in 2009? Not to mention some tall tales she's spun in the past, claiming to be a minority on college and employment applications.

I figured the response would deflect straight to Donald Trump. Just like clockwork.....

Here's my comment to make you happy. I vote for politicians for their overall on-balance beliefs. Most politicians are not great...so you take the best of what you get. Warren has faults like most of the rest. However her social views line up with mine, and that is where I put a lot of stock. In spite of your statements, she is a progressive, and that is a good thing. Compared to Trump, she is a winner.

Trump, who truly now is a "politician" is the bottom of the barrel. He is a disgusting pig. The leaders of the GOP who he desperately wants true support from - beyond just an acknowledgement of them willing to vote for him are distancing themselves from him. Some now say they will not even vote for him. How many of them are out there front & center at his speeches raising his hand to the sky? Mitch McConnell even went so far yesterday to state, "He doesn't know a lot about the issues” and strongly urged him to change course on his rhetoric." This is quite the acknowledgement from one of the top leaders of your party.

So alloak, tell us that you will or won't vote for Trump. Does his rhetoric and value system align with yours?

These are Warren's real estate deals in this century as complied by the Washington Post. There is no evidence of any flipping.

The Atlantic did an article on Elizabeth Warren's ancestry claims. Warren has never used what is basically just a family belief that she has native heritage in any job or educational applications. Her last place of educational employment was at Harvard. Warren was a republican until she arrived at Harvard.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/05/is-elizabeth-warren-native-american-or-what/257415/

The head of the committee that brought Warren to Harvard Law School said talk of Native American ties was not a factor in recruiting her to the prestigious institution. Reported the Boston Herald in April in its first story on Warren's ancestry claim: "Harvard Law professor Charles Fried, a former U.S. Solicitor General who served under Ronald Reagan, sat on the appointing committee that recommended Warren for hire in 1995. He said he didn't recall her Native American heritage ever coming up during the hiring process.

"'It simply played no role in the appointments process. It was not mentioned and I didn't mention it to the faculty,' he said."

He repeated himself this week, telling the Herald: "In spite of conclusive evidence to the contrary, the story continues to circulate that Elizabeth Warren enjoyed some kind of affirmative action leg-up in her hiring as a full professor by the Harvard Law School. The innuendo is false."

"I can state categorically that the subject of her Native American ancestry never once was mentioned," he added.

That view was echoed by Law School Professor Laurence H. Tribe, who voted to tenure Warren and was also involved in recruiting her.

"Elizabeth Warren's heritage had absolutely no role in the decision to recruit her to Harvard Law School," he told the Crimson. "Our decision was entirely based on her extraordinary expertise and legendary teaching ability. This whole dispute is fabricated out of whole cloth and has no connection to reality."

And that's the second arena where an absence of evidence should have some weight. If there's no easily located evidence that Warren has Native American ancestry, there's also no evidence Warren used her family story to boost herself into a Harvard job.

Mitch needs to take a hike. Don't get duped, he's only worried about one thing...holding onto his power, hoping the GOP as he wants it stays intact. The whole thing needs to be blown up and rebuilt. Too many weasels and gutless cowards.

Pretty amazing advice from ol' Mitch. You just won the nomination against all odds and every pundit prediction, while creating a devoted following that no recent nominee has come close to approaching. You accomplished these things being yourself (easiest role for any human being to play.) Never mind that though. Now you need to change who you are.

WTF?

McConnell's advice is suitable for the answer to this question: What would be the quickest and most effective way to start jettisoning your supporters?

Gee thanks Mitch!
