Even the calm, diplomatic Dr. Fauci isn't going to let the Trump WH disparage him. After the WH released its list of Fauci's 10 mistakes to the WP, he gave an interview to The Atlantic.

His response to the list: “I cannot figure out in my wildest dreams why they would want to do that. I think they realize now that that was not a prudent thing to do, because it’s only reflecting negatively on them."

When asked why Navarro continues to try to shred his 35 yr reputation, the response was: “I can’t explain Peter Navarro. He’s in a world by himself.”

His assessment as to where we stand now: "We are in the middle of a setback now—you can’t deny that; look at the numbers, you’re dealing with 40,000 to 60,000 infections in a day—it doesn’t mean we’re going to be defeated. But states that are in trouble right now, if those states pause and say, “Okay, we’re going to do it right, everyone wear a mask, bars closed, no congregating in crowds, keep your distance, protect the vulnerable”—if we do that for a few weeks in a row, I’ll guarantee you those numbers will come down.

"By pushing a reset button, I don’t mean everybody locking down again. We’ve got to call a time-out and say, “If you’re going to open, we’ve got to get everybody on the same team.” I’m not going to name any states—that’s not helpful—but some states did, in fact, prematurely jump over some checkpoints."

The great (actually, it's reasonable but compared to Trump, it's great) thing about Fauci is that he doesn't blame. He looks at what is & how to fix it.

Everytime I've seen Navarro on TV doing interviews, he never answers a question. He deflects with the best of them. And that's on economic issues, which supposedly is his area of expertise...repeat supposedly. If you listen to his ideas, it would make you wonder.

The thing I don't get is that he makes bizarre statements about Dr. Fauci, who has served 6 presidents and is world-renowned in a scientific field - a field that Navarro probably knows no more abouit than a poster on the ABB web site since Navarro is Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy. Navarro's penning a brutal criticism in a article (hit job) has zero credibility. He looks like a fool but no doubt directed to do so by a bigger fool. Of course the WH says big Pete went rogue. Who believes that?

My impression (as was Fauci's) was it was the WH staff or re-election staff who sent the list of mistakes to the WP followed by Navarro's article. Navarro just wants to be the last Trump buddy standing.

who needs Fauci when you have Chuck Woolery!?

Donald Trump Retweets Chuck Woolery’s COVID-19 Conspiracy Theory

You just can't make this shit up. I hope his son recovers, but it would be nice if some people didn't have to learn the hard way.

Game show host retweeted by Trump deletes his account after announcing his son has coronavirus

Former game show host Chuck Woolery announced Wednesday his son has tested positive for COVID-19, just days after Woolery accused medical professionals and Democrats of lying about the virus in an effort to hurt the economy and President Trump's reelection chances.

Woolery, who hosted several popular game shows including "Love Connection" and “Wheel of Fortune” and who is a staunch supporter of the president's, has since deleted his Twitter account following the announcement about his son.

“To further clarify and add perspective, Covid-19 is real and it is here. My son tested positive for the virus, and I feel for of those suffering and especially for those who have lost loved ones," Woolery tweeted before his account disappeared.
