The Biden Dogs

Since the media is going to cover every nip by Major, the Biden's rescued German Shepherd, I've got to say the Bidens aren't looking good. I admit being an animal lover so I'm biased. Also, things are pretty slow when the media is covering dog nips or bites depending upon which account you read.
A rescued dog may have a traumatic history. Having him travel back/forth between DE & DC isn't a great way for him to settle into the WH. Having a different dog walker every time he goes out - who knows how they're selected - doesn't put a dog at ease w/a regular familiar person. Not being leashed is dangerous to the dog and anyone around him. Having him around different activities - landscaping with power equipment, surprised by a secret service agent - isn't a great idea, either. Both incidents were described as needing medical treatment - like a band-aid. The dog isn't knocking people down and tearing out their throats. Still, the Biden's don't seem like they're really trying to help Major settle in. All Major knows is he has a huge yard now & he wants to play.
So far, he's not as bad as FDR's dog also named Major who ripped the seat of a visiting British Prime Minister's pants; a replacement pair was provided so the PM could leave the premises w/o his underwear showing.

After 4 years of incompetence from our past POTUS, it is refreshing to finally have a President who is just doing his job instead of causing constant chaos and trying to be the news every minute of the day.
If this is the worst thing we can think of creating threads about during his Presidency I give the man a pass on the fact that he is not putting more time into making his dog feel at home at the Whitehouse.

Exactly. However, I did want to make the point that voting for him doesn't mean we're blindly loyal. I also think the fact that every news outlet has this story - "2nd Attack by First Dog" - shows how low the media is reaching after 4 years of mania.

I agree. With everyday in the former guy's admin there was chaos, lies, and incompetence to fill the 24 hours news cycles. Abnormal would be a kind way to describe the sedition prez.
I guess that since there has now seen a return to some form of normalcy, civility, and attempts to work for all people then there needs to be something to report. This might be it.
I too am an animal lover, and these things happen. Not that there isn't an issue, but far bigger issues are out there. Here's to Major & Champ.
Â

We have a biting dog in our family. My step son and daughter in laws dog. Strange dog. I used to not like it, it bit me once. I'd give it the double bird when I'd go over, but I found it a challenge to get on the dogs good side. Love that thing now and we're become good friends.
I heard about Major the first time and my wife told me tonight over dinner "oh Major, they brought him back and it's not going to work". Sucks for the Biden's but not every dog can live in every environment.Â
Sometimes wish I could live a day in a dog's body and then remember everything they think. Would be a trip.Â

I wonder if the dogs get Secret Service security. 😛Â
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

Sad news that Champ, the Biden's 13 year-old dog who lived in both the VP home & the WH, died today. He'd been sick for a bit. Champ apparently had a good life and died at home in DE. Both Bidens posted that they're heartbroken. I would be, too. Â

And that is about the extent of my interest in news these days.
