I'm sure it is pretty and folks are friendly, all that, I have been thru there, love that hill country in the north. Real good friend in Nashville from Alabama, great person. Still you can't deny it is closer to Iran in religious control and social strictness than it is to California. They teaching Noah's Ark in high school biology yet? Don't worry, we got Idaho and Utah out here to contend with, way redder than Alabama, we got for real Nazis up here.

Gotta say there's the difference right there, if you said Oregon was Red China in a Tie Dye, I wouldn't give a crap, and am fine with anything anyone could say about it, got nothing to defend, I love my state. For you, loving your state means getting all defensive about it.
So yeah, Iran is Alabama in a turban. And hey, maybe that isn't all bad. Little to no crime in Iran.

My point is Trump's overarching theme with his Middle Eastern policy, if one can call it that, and specifically in this case Iran, seems to be driven PRIMARILY by the Republican Hawks, the Saudi's, and Israel. And to a lesser extend the fossil fuel industry as pushed by the Koch Brother's crony at the State Dept., Mr. Mike Pompao (sp)...Every significant action Trump has taken in this general area of the world is to the benefit of the aforementioned special interests.
Spot on. The amount of international grift going on for the last couple of years might be the largest in human history so far.
