For the first time in my life, I have zero interest in the Super Bowl. None. And, actually, won't be watching.

Anyone else? Curious...

not my favorite match up but i will be watching. Still love watching the PATS even though i hope they lost. Still think they are an amazing organization and give them a lot of credit. Sorry that I am a JETS season ticket holder as they have ruined my football life. LOL

Still in a few box pools so i will definitely watch and enjoy the game with good people and usual supercool junk food.

I don't trust a man who likes the soft balls to make it easier for him to win. Past performance shows character. 'Nuff said.

No, not enough said. Being the investigative, intrepid reporter that you are you should know that he (TB) likes them softer so they're easier to throw. Rodgers likes them hard, Eli likes them scruffed up...every qb has their preference. The score in that game was 17-7 Pats at the half. Balls were inflated to regs at halftime and Pats outscored Colts 28 to shit in 2nd half and won 45-7. Get out of the past, get off the hate (envy actually) and enjoy a great game.
That...or go to blackhawks house and watch "Beaches". He's making popcorn.

I'll be watching.

I do get it though, personally the end of the college and NFL seasons are the least important to me and I kind of start checking out and moving on from both towards the end. What is supposed to be the climax of the respective sports is literally the least interesting for me.

The only Super Bowl I purposefully didn't watch was Denver vs Atlanta. And then I was in a cabin in Michigan UP during a snow storm without a TV for Indy vs Chicago.

I get it, there are definitely some years I've skipped when I couldn't stand the two teams playing (or my teams' loss still hurt too much). But this is a pretty good match-up, should be a fun game. It's funny, 17 years ago I was pulling for the cinderella Pats to knock out the St Louis juggernaut, now I'm pulling for LA to keep the Pats from boring us all by adding to their dynasty (which is admittedly impressive).

nebish, I haven't found the end of the NFL season boring, though it's totally subjective. The Conference Championship games were two of the most exciting games of the season. Of course it's going to be less engaging fewer teams attracting their fans focus, and for a while the Super Bowl itself was indeed a bore due to a string of mismatches (1990s for sure). The past few years the game has been pretty exciting. And if that's not your thing, Puppy Bowl is never time wasted.

Yes, the Conference Title games were very good and entertaining, I just lose some interest. I kind of burn out on football towards the end no matter how good the games are.

I haven't watched or listened to any sports or football related news since the end of the last game, so Sunday before the game I'll get into some pregame stuff to get tuned up. Should be a good one. Patriots are awesome, but I too am going to go for the Rams.

I hear ya, I actually think the NFL season is the perfect length (I don't really pay much attention to college football). As much as I enjoy football, I'm usually done by January (uh, February). I usually take a Spring sports break until baseball and NBA playoffs start up.

Such a beautiful picture for a Sig; the light of the world and yet, you express such disdain for the glorious Patriots.

tsk tsk...

Let's not forget that although the Patriots have won 5 Super Bowls, they also lost 6 of them...

There's always that one guy that so graciously offers up that one tidbit of sobering reality to keep everything balanced.

Touché.

Cool

F the Patriots. It was so glorious watching the Philadelphia Eagles lunch then in the mouth and take the trophy last year. I can still see Brady dropping that pass, sitting on the ground hanging his head in shame, and watching Nick Foles show him how it’s done.

That was a nice scene last year!
Atlanta and Seattle gagged those games up to them. Oh welll.....just have to hope The Rams step on they're throat and don't let them up.

There are standard regulations as to what pressure the balls are to be inflated to. The only reason Mr. Wonderful did not get trouble when soft balls were found during one of his games was because he denied ordering the bat boy or whoever it was that de-flated some of the balls to do the dirty deed. We were supposed to believe the kid just did that on his own because he wanted to please Mr. Wonderful and he knew that Mr. Wonderful liked the balls soft.

It was a real snoozer. Fortunately, had good company, merriment, and a pretty awesome view of the Manoa Valley. Best part is the game was on early out this way so we got to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening. GOAT 😛

I read that there was some great action and whenever the Patriots are held to such a low scoring game, you know they had to work hard to get it. I probably should have watched.

Why???

I've been a Rams fan since I was a kid and Roman Gabriel was the QB and the Fearsome Foursome were monsters on defense.

I guess I’m in the minority that enjoyed the game. I love watching defenses dismantle an offense, like the Patriots did. It was brilliance by Belichik, yet again. If my team isn’t in it, then on a high scoring game, I often find myself wishing for better defense...I don’t want to see people waltzing into the end zone - I want to see them earn it and get beat up trying to score.

i like defense also but Jarad Goff did a great job of making Pats look even better. It was not defense as much as his pathetic play. Also nobody knows if Gurley was healthy but assuming he was, I cannot understand how he was an afterthought in anything the Rams seemed to do.

The game was awful IMO, only thing that kept my interest was the score was close. and the drama of the PATS dynasty for better or for worse. LOL

I heard some analysts say that Goff's performance was so poor, it could permanently hurt his career!!.......Peace.....joe
