The nation hasn't seen hide or hair of him since the weekend.  Is it the cyber attack on the country?  Is it the current status of the pandemic?  Is it Mitch McConnell acknowledging President-Elect Bidden as the next POTUS?  Is it the weather?  Is it because he's a pathetic?

Trump's supporters should by now realize that they have been backing a fockin' reality show whore who only cares about his own monetary gains and who was never qualified to lead Cub Scout den.  Throughout history, the defeated candidate or incumbent has stepped forward gracefully to urge the country to come together.  Grace - the key missing word and behavior.  For someone with a monumental ego, Trump should know that history will look back on him as possibly the biggest presidential train wreck of all time.  Who knows where he is?  In a few short weeks it won't matter anymore.

He's out there with his Twitter account advancing lies and conspiracy theories about the election where he lost in a landslide (the same electoral college results that he claimed a landslide 4 years ago, yet he got beaten much worse this time in popular vote). He's intimidating pu$$y HOR members to still try to desperately overturn the will of the people.

All the while he's raising millions of dollars off of stupid people who would contribute to false hope.

In the meantime, millions of Americans are in food lines & being evicted. He's AWOL in working with Congress on a relief package.

He's AWOL also on leadership & compassion for the 300K plus who have died from Covid and the miillions diagnosed. Much of this could have been avoided if he would have shown true leadership out of the box.

Next week or two he'll be get ahead of the curve by pardoning everybody in his orbit so they can't be prosecuted for crimes they've probably committed. No doubt he'll tie it to advance action that he'll claim the Dems & Biden will go after these "ethical individuals" for absolutely no reason. He'll also pardon those previously convicted along the lines of scum like Paul Manafort just as he did for Flynn. How many times has he used the line, "he's been treated very poorly" like when Flynn lied twice to the FBI. You have to feel sorry for Flynn for being treated poorly, right?

@martind28  Preach it, brother!  Just wondering:  can a person be pardoned for a crime that they haven't been charged with ... YET?  Suppose some of these types don't get rung up until after the new administration takes over.  Can they be pre-pardoned?

And not a word or comment about the biggest Cyber attack in the nations history...Why is that?  Oh, his boss Putin would want a pound of flesh should the Donald criticize him in public....And who's pound of flesh that would be scares the living sh@t out of our tough guy president.  I've said it for years that Putin has our president by the balls and could, literally, destroy his entire crime family.

One other tremendous cluster f#ck impulsive decision by the child in the White House was firing the Director of Cyber Security a few weeks ago. Obviously we have very competent people in place to reinforce the breach, but firing the Director of arguably one the most crucial depts. of our government for no other reason besides telling the truth, is beyond selfish and incompetent...It's dangerous!

For his entire life Trump has blown shit up with no real consequences as there's always someone there to clean up his mess....Now it's we the country who suffers yet again for this spoiled brat's behavior.

From what I hear and read, I believe so, but I'll defer to Cyclone. He's an attorney and can better speak to "law" & "pardons".

Count on Trump pardoning the royal family & possibly attempting to pardon himself. One thing I've heard is that he steps down and has lackey Pence pardon him. Put nothing past Trump as he's made a mockery of democracy, government, and the legal system for 4 years.

I don't believe pardons apply to investigations in NY at the local and state level which are ongoing. Again, I'll defer to Cyclone.

Non related but I'm going to repeat from earlier. He is AWOL and despicable for his lack of leadership on Covid, sensitivity to the human suffering, and failed to lead for those in desperate need of food and shelter. But Nero Trump shoots golf while many suffer. This is what 70 million people voted for. Also his 4 year carrying water for Putin over the USA (see Chain's post above).

Trump cannot pardon away investigations at the state and local level....His pardon power only covers federal crimes and investigations.  In addition, he cannot pardon himself.  I suspect he'll try to do so before leaving and bet every dime you have that the right wing media complex will get behind him 100%.  In fact they already have as they're spinning the lie that he can do so.

One reason Trump is raising money is because his legal bills from the various state investigations are going to be ongoing for years and extremely expensive.  The cult of Trump membership seems oblivious to the fact that Trump is pushing those costs onto them.

They're after all being informed by Rush Limbaugh, Fox news, Glenn Beck, NewsMax, and the plethora of other right wing media outlets that dear leader is being railroaded and so all hands (and more importantly your money) on deck to save the savior of the American middle class, the 2nd Amendment, religious rights, the police, and every other right the cult believes liberals are attacking and Trump is protecting.....

The sad part in all this is in the end Trump's presidency has been all about money. For the Trump crime family and the many cronies who surround them, the right wing media complex who needs the Trump cult for its ratings and thus revenue, and ultimately Putin who basically wanted and still wants Trump to remove the sanctions on all the oligarchy money floating around the American and European banking system.

Ford pardoned Nixon before he was charged.

Pompeo (and many others) have said Russia is behind the cyber attacks. Trump said they weren't.

If there was any doubt Putin has something on Trump, this should vanish it.

I see this site is becoming a propaganda arm for the extreme left, to me very disrespectful to old Duane. You should at least see the other viewpoint, though  I gather Mr Sang and others are terrified of the truth.

Not afraid of the truth - but there has been no "truth" spoken by this president and his enablers.  Sorry, not going to even watch the conspiracy delusions of right-wing "entertainment opinion" ...

The only people trying to violate the 14th Amendment are Trump and his minions who are trying everything they can to throw out votes anywhere he lost, particularly in predominantly black cities like Detroit, Atlanta, and Philadelphia. This is directly in violation of the equal protection outlined in the 14th Amendment. Trump is taking a piss all over the 14th Amendment, as well as the rest of the Constitution. I know it must be hard for you to believe, but black people are allowed to vote in the USA these days, and trying to throw their votes out is racists and undemocratic.

Wow! You're actually playing the racism card? Blimey! So that Georgia video shouldn't be called out because the workers were black? Really scraping the bottom there, buddy. I'm sorry you were so indoctrinated, pretty hard thing to resist, but that's a lot of hate going on. There's that old saying, 'if you're not a socialist  when you're young you don't have a heart; if you are when you're old, you don't have a head.' You gotta ask yourself why are all the people in positions of power and control opposed to Trump? They tell their useful idiots Trump's bad for them, but probably mean bad for themselves. Shakey wakey!

No, they shouldn't be called out because they did nothing wrong. Leave your right-wing echo chamber for long enough to check out one of the many fact-check sites about that video. If there was widespread fraud then maybe Trump would have won a couple of his court cases. The fact that Trump appointed judges have thrown out these cases left and right, and William "brownnose" Barr says there is no widespread fraud really is all you need to know.

Exactly who are these people in "positions of power and control"? Control of what?

Voters were opposed to Trump. That's all that matters.

Too late in the game for Barr to get a pass. Since he auditioned for his job placating Trump, he's done plenty of up front work to deflect for Trump and mislead the American public. He's done significant damage to the DOJ as nonpolitical institution and lost many qualified prosecutors and staff who resigned in protest over him & his actions.

Now a month out of being replaced he finally remembers what the word "ethics" means and he reclaims a conscience? His legagcy will be just another of many who sold their souls for a Russia loving autocrat who doesn't give an "f" about democracy. Barr joins other sycophants like Pompeo, Navarro, Graham, Cruz, Rudy, etc. They all should look in the mirror every morning in disgrace.

I'm not giving Barr a pass for anything. I'm just pointing out that even someone who has treated his office as AG as Trump's personal lawyer, which should be a crime in itself, sees that there was no widespread fraud. There wasn't!

I haven't followed Trump news since the day I voted before the election; I'm aware Biden won & we'll soon not have a useful idiot in the WH. Not sure the damage he's caused can be repaired w/such fissures in the country. If Putin's plan was to have a divided America who can't have civil discourse, he won.

Barr's resignation letter was nauseating. There's no merit to any of Trump's cases & the attorney's bringing them run pretty close to violating the rules against frivolous lawsuits that waste court's time & attention.

Sure, he'll pardon his cronies as well as himself at the federal level - who's going to stop him? And stormyrider beat me to saying Ford issued a blanket pardon to anything Nixon even thought about doing it was so broad. State AGs can pursue suits v. Trump, but the biggest crimes were most likely committed by The Trump Organization w/some fall guys between Trump and admissible evidence. The E J Carroll defamation suit is likely to go nowhere beyond sad late night comparisons w/Lewinsky for keeping the stained dress.

I had a cab driver the other day who recited the list of countries w/no extradition treaties where Trump might go before mid-January. I thought Trump would've gone back in November - just like he had the chopper waiting to take him to Scotland in 2016 when he expected to lose. We agreed that Putin didn't want him around.

Actually Barr did not say there wasn't any fraud and cheating at the ballot box. It happens every election. Barr said his department and the FBI could not identify enough that would change the outcome of the election.

I'm 74 years old and have some friends and relatives who are strong supporters of President Trump. They tell me they can not believe Trump lost. How could a President who garnered MORE VOTES than anyone in U.S. history,  over 74 million, far more than Trump received when he defeated Hillary,  loose? No one including the Obama and Reagan landslides ever got more than 70 million votes. How could he possibly lose??

My answer was " Though Trump got more votes than any other person running for President...the reason he lost is because Biden got more!! A historic number of votes for both men. But Biden got more.

Now they fear Supreme Court packing, open borders, millions of illegal people made citizens, loss of private insurance,  loss of energy independence,  two new states, abolition of the electoral college, socialism,  high taxes and job killing regulations, no real police departments and left wing liberal progressive socialists micromanaging our every move from where you live, how you power your home,  what you eat, drive, when you can travel, demanding you use high speed rail rather than jets when you travel etc etc etc.

My answer to them was the same Biden said some weeks ago. " The socialist didn't win. I did. I'm not a socialist but a capitalist."

No one will be forced to give up hamburgers, airplanes, gasoline powered cars or be restricted from unnecessary travel because of climate change. By 2035 there will be twice as many jet airliners flying. But with far more efficient engines. Pratt and Whitney has an engine right now, Delta has ordered over 200 new jets with the GTF engine and 45 are already in service. 25 percent reduction in CO2, 16 percent reduction on fuel burn saving millions of gallons of aviation kerosene each year and 75 percent less noise. And when biofuels get cheaper and the supply is ramped up....well get this. When they deliever new planes with new efficient engines to Delta in Atlanta with no passengers on board and biofuel running both engines, CO2 is REDUCED BY 80 percent.

The socialist candidate was going to ban fracking. Biden is not. The socialist candidate was going to spend over 100 trillion on climate change and get to net zero by 2030 and ban cars that burn gas by 2030. Biden is hoping to spend 4 trillion and NO cars will be banned. Biden plans to offer incentives to make buying electric cars more attractive and Ford announced they will stop building gasoline powered cars in 2035. That had nothing to do with Biden. Power companies were already closing coal plants during Trump's term.

Stand up for free market capitalism!! The free market goes where the money is. Socialism never works and we have never had it in the US. I mean the economy not Social Security.  We have never nationalize parts of the economy as Jim Clyburn (D-SC) pointed out when he begged South Carolina to support Biden and reject the socialist Sanders.

He seems to have taken a break from saving face strategy long enough to pronounce that the stimulus checks in the Covid Relief Bill to be too low so he wants it upped to $2K from $600. A good thing regardless of motive - most probably to dis McConnell.

And to go back down to Georgia in campaigning for the two Repubs and let everyone know how much he cares about common people. He'll try to relate that to those two candidates and how they need to be reelected.

Well we want at least one to get reelected don't we? That is what I'm hearing from a few old hippies I know in Georgia.  They wanted Trump out but NOT the Dems controlling both chambers.

I supported Biden and Biden and Obama but I won't vote for Sanders, AOC, the squad etc. They are socialists. They want to nationalize parts of the economy, something that's never been done and Biden, Jim Clyburn and many older Dems reject.

If something happens to Biden and the younger socialists Dems get power in both chambers, the country could be moved too far to the left and into baseline socialism. Social Security, Medicare,  Food Stamps, Welfare etc is NOT baseline socialism. That happens when you nationalize parts of the economy such as healthcare,  pharmaceuticals, banking, energy. Those four have been mentioned by Sanders and others.

Then you may get open borders ( all people who want to become a US citizen should be put on the fasttrack and allowed in but legally), abolition of ICE and border patrol, abolition of prisons,  no bail ( released immediately or kept in jail until trail depending on offence), defunding police departments and some calling for abolishing police departments then reimagine how policing should be done. President Obama and Jim Clyburn (D-SC) recently slammed that. Obama said " If my mother in law is being broken into....who is she suppose to call?". Obama and Clyburn were attacked by AOC and other fall left Democrats.  I ASSURE YOU YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIVE IN A CITY WITH NO OR WEAKENED POLICE DEPARTMENT!!!

Socialism is a gateway drug to communism.

We are Americans. We would rather be dead than red.

Hurrah. Looks like it might actually happen. If Duane thought they were all right, looks like the good people of Georgia would eventually do the right thing.
