So I just saw he resigned. Early this morning he said he didn't do anything wrong and refused to step down. Didn't take him long to change his mind I guess.

That is a very good point...
As a New Yorker I applaud some of the things Cuomo accomplished and managed during his 10.5 years as governor. However, the man was as corrupt a politician as can be.
From the way he led the charge to oust then NYS Governor Eliot Spitzer while Attorney General (ironically as a result of a sex scandal....although I assume the prostitutes Eliot paid where willing accomplices), to his role in the Buffalo Billion scandal which was about to be revealed until dear, caring, loving Andy disbanded the Moreland Commission tasked with investigating the scandal just as they began investigating him and his henchmen and women.
His attitude that the law doesn't apply to him, especially fondling, harassing, and bullying women, is not surprising coming from someone who has ruled the state with an iron fist for over a decade. Finally Karma has caught up with him....
To the point of hypocritical politicians, a mere three days after the NY AG report was revealed and the Republicans in the state Senate and Assembly as well as the federally elected Republicans who called on Cuomo to resign, attended a fundraiser in Manhattan for guess who? Serial and admitted sexual offender/harasser Donald Trump.....Pretty telling just how low and to whom politicians will leech up to if it means they can keep their own power.
One of those NY Republicans, Elize Stefanik, demanded Cuomo be arrested....And yes, she too, ever the Trump lap dog, attended the very same fundraiser for dear leader a mere few days later....Whatever keeps you in power and the campaign funds rolling in Elize.....
He might have been attempting the Ralph Northam route. Apparently he had no allies left to help him dig up dirt on the Lt Governor like happened in Va so he was not the lesser of two evils. Guess he ran out of time though gave himself a 14 day out just in case something comes to light.
