I can't speak for alloak but Trump hardcore supporters will support him no matter what he does and most Republicans in Congress are scared to death of him. While they bad mouth him in private they support him in public as they are afraid they will lose his endorsement and get voted out of office.
Congress is no longer about doing what is in the best interest of the American people they represent but rather it is about staying in power no matter the cost.
Just look at the S-storm that was created by the FBI raid on Mar-a- Lago looking for documents Trump allegedly illegally took with him when he left the WH including supposedly classified material. Now imagine if a Democratic President had done this and the outrage and repercussions from the GOP.
Say what you want about Trump but he is the master of fake news and playing the martyr. Now imagine what will be left of our Democracy if the GOP takes back Congress and Trump wins the Presidency again.
Unless the Democrats are willing to take the gloves off and get down in the mud with the GOP and fight dirty over elections I fear our Democracy is finally doomed if the GOP and Trump takes power for another four years.

The "taco" incident is all you got? Dr. Biden's comment pales in comparison to when Trump himself likened a Mexican holiday to Trump Tower Taco Bowls and "hispanics" in general. Dr. Biden actually apologized. Trump got roasted online and then got elected anyways, so the hypocrisy goes the other way on this one.

If I recall, alloak had some serious health issues the past couple years which may be why he hasn't been around. Just saying it might not be fair to call him out.

The media has been castrated. No one believes them. Trump lies & spreads the word thru his followers through SM or any other means they use. I'm astounded by the amount of influence this barely literate con man has on average Americans. I don't believe for one second that elected officials march in lock step w/him for fear of losing their jobs - some of them were reasonable people, even people of integrity before P45 & they lost it overnight. They can live w/o being senators; they have other sources of income. I still believe there is a physical threat to them or their families if they don't go along. Trump has a guerilla army - like the guy at FBI in Cincinnati - who will act violently on his false assertions. That is scary.
We now know the missing docs are nuclear-related and kept in multiple places in Mar-a-Lago. They didn't get there w/o Trump knowing. My guess? He planned to sell or has sold them because he has no $$$. The DOJ has been proceeding at a pace since Spring through the high legal bars that are set to get a federal search warrant connecting evidence & a crime. They discovered the missing docs because the docs given to the Archives had missing pages. Nothing nefarious or improper about the DOJ to get agitated about.
As to the NY suit re TTO raising/lowering values of properties to get loans, it's a non-starter. Every developer does that & the banks turn a blind eye. It's not admirable, but not worth a prosecution beyond getting depositions from TTO employees.

The infiltration into other politicians (and conservative media) is at a Manchurian Candidate level. They saw the populism, they hitched their wagon along for the ride. They saw "winning" not governance. Others tried to discuss issues rationally, but it all fell on deaf ears. Even when FOX News - a "news" network that is on record as advising the 45 Administration which seems like a huge breach of journalistic integrity - called the election for Biden, many Trump followers turned their back on their favorite new network.
If these documents are damning (I'm waiting for clarification), his allies and followers are dug in too deep. There's going to be a spin, Trump already laid seeds that the FBI planted whatever they removed.
It's just bananas that many of his followers have become the complete opposite of what the thought they were - sheeple that are a threat to the constitution and the republic in the name of patriotism that assaults law enforcement. I doubt there's anything in the docs. If he "mistakenly" took them when being hustled out the WH door, not turning them over to the National Archives isn't a master crime. He - just like while he was in office - didn't follow regulations. No persecution. Think DOJ gave him a deadline to return, he ignored, so they went in & got them.

When Andrew Cuomo was shown to be a bit "handsy", the 2 NY Senators( Schumer and Gillebrand), the Dem leader of the Senate(Schumer), the Dem leader in the House(Pelosi), The Dem President(Biden), and the 2 top hosts at MSNBC(Maddow and I'm not sure who) all called for Cuomo to resign. Now try to imagine what Trump could do to get the 2 Florida Senators(Rubio and Scott), the R leader in the Senate( McConnell), the R leader in the House(McCarthy), and the top 2 hosts at FOX to say he has to go.
