My senator Lindsay Graham needs a beer.

This judge has proven that he isn’t fit. He couldn’t be fair or impartial at all. He is echoing right wing talking points. Interesting day so far.

Had he denied these accusations with composure and unbias, I would support his nomination. But today he showed he is not stable enough to be a judge.

The weirdest part of his testimony to me is the insistence that he has never lost memory or been fuzzy on events after drinking. It is HIS own statements that he has ever had too much to drink. So what and how does he think it manifests itself when you " drink too much"?

Kavanaugh already in tears, attacking Democrats over and over. Should a wimpering politician with baggage, and bias against Democrats be a Supreme Court judge? Even if he didn’t do it, his lack of composure and hatred for Dems should disqualify him too.

X2. His strategy is to appear as Trumpian as possible - angry, paranoid (are the Clintons responsible for everything?), & disrespectful to the senators who have the constitutional obligation to question him. He's not easily getting something to which he believes he is ENTITLED & he's having a mini-Trump tantrum. It's naif to say justices aren't political, but he's shown himself to be aggressively biased. If seated, he wouldn't pretend to give any case a fair legal analysis.

"If seated, he wouldn't pretend to give any case a fair legal analysis."

This statement quoted above pretty much says it all. He doesn't even try to hide it. He goes on FOX to preach his case, and then he threw a tantrum aiming conspiracy theories towards the Democrats on the committee all the while dragging in the Clintons.

With that said, unless Collins & Murkowski vote "no", I think he's in. There is outside hope for Flake, but for all his criticism of Trump, he mostly votes party line. And Ben Sasse's performance today pretty much spells "yes".

The Clintons did it. It’s crazy but he actually brought them up in this hearing.

When you've got nothing, the base always love to mention the Clintons. Some plays always work for no reason whatsoever.

He sure got ugly, what a sniveling punk. Piss poor performance. Embarrassing to see. He could have played it cool and racked up serious style and dignity points.

He might just be too dumb to know he is dialed for the Supreme Court no matter what happens. After all this he's gonna be meaner than ever. Probably go on a lifetime vendetta against women. How dare they.

The only live testimony I saw was when they were going through his high school yearbook line by line. It was surreal.... The man has 300 legal opinions and Democrats wanted to cross-examine Judge Cavanaugh on his high school yearbook quotes.

Glad we are heading for a vote today.

Somehow people found him credible. Michael Smerconish, who I believe is completely unbiased, said he found them both credible. How so? One was calm and answered every question directly, and requested an FBI investigation. The other sobbed, yelled, filibustered, and did not want an investigation.

posted on 9/19/2018 at 19:47.......it is credible but Feinstein made a mistake holding it back.
it won't matter as it was 35-6 yrs ago.
it will get out of committee.
will they vote up or down in the senate.......prob down, for other reasons.

that was from other misspelled Kavanaugh thread and i still believe it.

I have no idea if he did it or not, and neither does anyone else here. Everyone is just guessing, and mostly depending on what side of the aisle you sit on is determining who you believe. For that reason, I think a FBI investigation is in order. There is no reason to rush this. If they could wait 10+ months without even having a hearing for Merrick Garland, then a delay of a few weeks here should be no big deal.

He was asked about submitting to an FBI Investigation countless times, and he never would commit. That there should tell that there are things he doesn't want dug up or found out.

He was less than impressive in his answers & presentation.

As I mentioned last night, Jeff Flake would vote party line, and he did. He talks a much bigger game than his votes on issues have shown. Good riddance to him when his term is up. Would rather have a hard core / far right GOP type than a soft peddling guy who criticizes Trump at every turn yet tows the Trump line. Tired of hearing light weights dance the line.

It will well be worth watching the mid term elections and see the results of the female voting stats. Women statistically vote more than men, and I suspect the GOP and its attitude and treatment of women will be punished at the polls.

Democrats all playing dumb regarding the source of the leak of the letter. Feinstein will not investigate her staff and is satisfied with a one word reply from her staff. Shades of the Hillary investigation coming thru here on credibility and motive.

How many times have we asked you? Are you interested in the truth?

Why is the judge afraid to answer "yes" to FBI Investigation if he is innocent? He certainly appears if he's hiding something. There are at least 3 if not 5 women who dispute him.

Dr. Ford passed a lie detector test. Did BK?

Jeez, goob - you really have an obsession with Hillary don't you? For the last several years you are practically one-dimensional with your posts. It all goes back to HC.

Goober is shocked and appalled when politicians play politics. And to believe it’s just the “Dems” who do this is beyond silly, especially for a grown man.

Anyway, forget what happened 36 years ago......what does the letter have to do with confirming an unhinged emotional wreck like Crying Kavanagh? Should a sobbing mess like him be any type of judge?

Even BK's alma mater Yale Law School has joined the American Bar Association in demanding an FBI investigation.

I'm confused why BK thinks drinking hard & studying/playing sports are mutually exclusive. He also confuses judicial temperament w/belligerence as appropriate behavior for a SCOTUS nominee. It's a job interview. He's supposed to be deferential - not hostile.

I love watching Goob meltdown over things that don’t involve him.

Wonder if he watched the re-boot of Murphy Brown last night in which HRC made a cameo appearance. Ironic given the timing.

It's not the sobbing, it's the hostility, paranoia, and entitlement directed to senators & the constitutional process that make him unfit. He's not even going to pretend to be an impartial learned justice. Wonder how he'll behave in oral arguments - a little sobbing, a little hysteria - at least Scalia was a gentleman.

I was surprised to see Flake do that so late. Maybe his performance yesterday is starting to raise concerns in his home camp. It should.

We'll see if he really grew a spine once his floor vote comes out.

Sounds to me like someone is still pissed that Trump was exposed as a liar and a creep, and sees it happening all over again with Kavanaugh.
