What's Pence going to do? Rubio already had a visit to his home by Trump supporters telling him he should object to the Electors as have some others. Whatever happens it is not likely to be your run of the mill Electoral College proceeding and vote.

You are correct. Trump & MM have destroyed much of what was formerly known as the GOP. Poor decisions, policy, and horrible rhetoric have casued a split in the party. Well Chain, the government over the course of many years and many administrations has passed laws that violate our Constitution and nobody even objects, ie. Repealing posse-commitatus, implementing the Patriot Act, holding people without evidence for as long as they want to. Torturing people and using tax dollars to do it, training people to do it, CACI, Titan Corporation, building concentration camps in this country with us tax dollars and having Halliburton do it, etc., etc.
As to Pence not having the authority to object and change the election, I do not know what authority he has.

Pence or any Vice President has no authority to not accept electoral college votes...Their role is purely ceremonial and they act as basically an Master of Ceremonies for the event of Congress voting to accept the college votes....Nothing more to it. It's civics 101...

The woman who was shot and died was Ashli-Babbit. A 14 year Air Force veteran according to the NY Post. Her husband and other family members are aware of her death.
She had a Twitter account with the handle CommonAshSense, reportedly.

They came to peacefully rally but a small contingent wanted to flex their muscle and have their say at the Electoral voting proceedings. Were they trespassing? Probably since they did not have invitations or appointments to speak at the proceedings.
