I love the Tower Of Power. When I saw they were doing a 2 night run at the NY's City Winery I knew I was in. It's their 50th Anniversary Tour and they've got one the most strongest line-ups they've ever had.

I used to see them at the Bottom Line and Capitol Theatre (Passaic, NJ) back in the day and caught a couple of the BB King Bluesfest shows with TOP in the middle slot opened by Jonny Lang and then Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

Always uptempo jumping funk. They played a couple must have songs both nights, but went deep into their catalogue with diverse sets between the 2. There was quite a few of my favorites that didn't make it to the set lists, but I was Funkifized!

If they're near you and you're a fan, Don't miss this tour. If you're not familiar with them, check them out, and Don't miss this tour. They are Rock n Soul Legends.

I have seen them twice recently with Average White Band, and will see this combo again tomorrow night at Collingswood, NJ. It's a very solid show.

Doesn't look like Rocco Prestia is with them?. is Garibaldi still on drums?.

Emilio said Rocco is having some health issues and his fill in for the last 15 years is on bass Marc Van Wageningen (Marc V.W.).

David is still there, Here's the band intro (san Emilio's intro which starts off Diggin' on J.B.)….

I grabbed a signed T.O.P. 50th Anniversary Program, Here's the present line-up...

Emilio Castillo (ts/v), Stephen (Doc) Kupka (bs), David Garibaldi (d), Adolfo Acosta (t), Sal Cracchiolo (t), Jerry Cortez (g), Tom (Big Love) Politzer (ts/v), Marcus Scott (v), Roger Ray Smith (k), Marc Van Wageningen (b).

……………………………
