This is mind boggling! How many bands and artists can directly trace their origins back to Duane Allman's vision? Too many to count, I suspect.

@billastro I've said before I wonder if it had not been for Duane Allman's vision, talent, determination and energy...would we even know who Gregg, Dickey, Butch, Jaimoe, Chuck, Dan Toler, Allen Woody, Warren, Derek Trucks etc are?? I would like to think several of them would have had a break out deal and achieved some kind of success but one can't be sure. Duane Allman may be the ticket they all used to some degree of success. He just may be what they all grabbed to have the success they have today.Â
