Townes Van Zandt wrote a lot of songs and they got recorded by Merel Haggard, Bob Dylan and many others but he was so addicted to heroin and alchohol he spent so much money on his vices he lived in a shack with no electricity. Died at age 52 from heart disease from years of heavy drinking and smack.
But I didn't know he had sat in with the Allman Brothers.
And the guy who saw it couldn't remember Dickey's name at first:)
