Man, they sure have been avoiding the South lately.

I've never seen Sabbath. I love their music and would really like to see them once, but I don't know if I'm going to drive to Kansas City or Chicago to do it.

I say bring back Bill and Vinny Appice. If Bill isn't up to entire shows, Vinny trades off with him. They both know how to propel Geezer and Tony.

That's an excellent idea. That tour will probably have a large profit (read: inflated ticket prices) anyway so i think they could afford a contract with 2 drummers and also could handle the logistics of having the drumkit of Vinny on "standby". As long as Ozzy's piece of the pie stays big enough it could work but otherwise Sharon would prevent it. But i doubt if Sharon wants Ozzy to work with Bill again regardless contract clauses etc. anyway.

Bill didn't make it through a show that I saw almost 40 years ago.

Tommy was awesome on the last tour and gave them more of the original sound than Vinny. For the expensive tickets, I would go with quality as opposed to sentimental value.

Finally got around to Tony's book in the pile of books to read. I was a little disappointed as it was pretty light on details.

It is not bad by any stretch. I was just hoping for a bit more detail and stories I guess. But if you like the band then I would read it. I picked up my copy in a reduced bin and paid $5 for the hard cover so I can't complain much. I think it would have been different if they had not reunited with a bit more Ozzy dirt.

I saw it a used books store here in Indy , maybe I will snag it if I see it.

They also had the Jimmy Page book "Shade and Light" from Brad Tolinski. I guess its just a bunch of interviews Page has done from Guitar World over the years.

I enjoyed the Page book but much of it has been in the magazine but some not. Either way all packaged together I enjoyed it.

Some Zeppelin content in Tony's book also and some of it pretty funny.
